Illyrian derives from the word Ilir, which means to be free. Shqiptaria which the Albanians call their homeland derives from the story of the boy and the eagle. You should look that up. During the Middle Ages Albanians called themselves Arberesh, hence the community that now lives in Italy and still speaks Albanian.
