The greatest of them all. Technical perfection, together with a stunning stage presence (adept at tragedy and comedy alike). The voice remains massive and uniform from the highest to the lowest of notes. A TRUE bass, in that he can plunge to the darkest of notes, almost without seeming to prepare for them; and certainly with no fear of diminishment of tone.
