I was also impressed that Ignatieff made tribute to women's fight for equality and the famous five on Person's day, this being 80 years since women won the right to vote. It was something we didn't hear from the government, but considering that the Harper Government has systematically eroded women's rights in Canada why would they?
I think he's doing a much better job winning over women than the Prime Minister did playing the piano. It's hard to forget that Harper terminated day care funding in his first day in office (despite real world programs showing huge returns for each dollar invested. ) Even Obama has called early child care funding a cornerstone of economic recovery.
Pretty darn cute. The "John Cusack of Canadian Politics". There's a version here which maybe easier for people with slow connections to see/22minutes*com/index.php?page=video#header
Funny, but not quite as sweet as his real life group hug: youtube*com/watch?v=rZ7emKNcaAg

I don't think Canadian women have been into the super skinny, silly, milquetoast Alan Alda types for at least 15 years now.
