This is one of the best rock bands of all time in it's early stage, and sounding tight. In Slash's biography he said he was playing a BC Rich early on before they could afford Gibsons. There it is! They changed up the chord structure on the last couple minutes before they made Appetite. This is a cool early version though. Thanks for posting.

This is great.....it was this particular show where Geffen decided to sign them (correct me if I'm wrong). Their sound and style was both scarey and honest - miles ahead of their glam-rock counterparts....a rare combination of blues, punk and rock...a once in a lifetime band.....easily the best band since Led Zeppelin.

Ttheir tenure and legacy was way too short. I miss them and I wonder if we'll ever get a combination of such naive, raw, hard, sexy and dangerous talent ever again.

They're an 80's band, what did you expect? Plus this is 1986, all bands (not thrash or death metal) had big fluffy hair. It was when the glam movement got popular. GNR had a glam phase from 1985-1986, then toned it down by the time their album came out in 1987.

They had to do it because that was the Sunset Strip scene. Granted, they probably didn't necessarily need it but maybe they weren't very confident in the music selling itself. They shoulda been. They were the best of the Sunset Strip bands by a long shot.
