I think when you train any frontier animal what your effectively doing is convincing yourself that you can remove the natural reasoning process of the animal or at least suppress it with the human reasoning process. I think when you train any frontier animal what your effectively doing is convincing yourself that you can remove the natural reasoning process of the animal or at least suppress it with the human reasoning process. The two are different-I don’t think the animal can be 100% sure all of the time that it’s not a real fight. 99.9% of the time isn’t good enough with a full weight bear-maybe a cub. A playful gesture can be lethal with animal of this size. This is a astonishing situationbeartraining

bitten by a bear, and killed. It must have been sort of an ego thing for this trainer to be able to manipulate such an animal. You can never take the predator instinct out of them. People wonder why these animals do that after being tamed and trained, they are just animals. There was a guy who followed bears with his wife. And then a bear that he knew didn't like him killed him at night in the tent, killed his wife too and ate them. yes its unfortunate. but its no news that animals are being screwed over by humans. i see incidents like these as almost inevitable, bound to happen. even domestic animals, such as dogs are unpredictable. would you be comfortable around a pet dog that weighed 700 pounds? no, you'd be waiting for the day its instincts surfaced and it turns you into meat. and animals like these arent even domesticated, so the chance of an accident is very high, when you think about it.

I am so sorry for the dead trainer, and his family...even though your movie clips are awesome, these animals are WILD. It doesn't matter how much you work with them: they are still wild. And, any time the animals behave like their genetics dictate, they always lose. Case in point ..watch the video on Bart the bear wrestling with his trainer,if it was me or you playing with the bear, we would be in serious trouble.
