I'm sort of bummed myself. The thing is, Jimmy and Johnny Ska (or Irwin, if I recall) had a few good pieces. But instead of admitting that their act wasn't perfect, and growing, they spent years pretending it was the funniest act ever, and denying those of us who have been up on stage and done the comedy thing to help them grow.
I think that it's a super brave thing to admit you've done wrong, especially after such a long time, so I applaud those guys. That took a lot of maturity on their part.
The reason I created this video (about a year and a half ago, btw) is mostly because many of my friends here are comedians, and actually happen to be amusing. It bugged me then (and still does today) that while these people are working hard to get seen, some barely amusing individuals cheat, just so they look cool. It's sad, but you're right, probably not a huge deal.
I tried reworking all the math, and making it more accurate, but it just got to confusing.. But yeah, People who say "who cares" do have a point.. Its not like he cheated to gain subscribers or views on his videos, but to give other people views. Why is that so horrible?
This has left me empty inside, the youtube community has kinda already fallen apart ever since google got a hold of it, in my personal opinion, but if someone is doing something stupid odds are even if you get rid of them, there will be more people doing stupid stuff and cheating after them. Lastly I do think its nice of you to try and "clean" up the community and at least have a logical plan.

Over the last 5 years, I've been a mod at several forums, three of which with over 5,000 members. I have been an administrator at half a dozen sites, one of which has over 10,000 members. So I sort of understand the challenges of an online community.
That being said, YouTube CAN and SHOULD be doing better. Compared to the forums I have helped run in the past, YouTube is very close to out of control. They do very little enforcement, and usually when they do finally enforce something, they ban good folks who happened to get the attention of a hater that knew how to push YouTube than the actual morons that need their fingers chopped off.
All in all, my opinion is that people are free to believe what they want. If you want to believe I'm some sort of nasty twisted, unknowledgable jerk, go ahead. I will say that I think your estimation of me is wrong, and in fact, I will not make such an assumption about you. Honestly, I really like your passion. That's a great trait.

What makes it cheating is that it's breaking the YouTube Terms of Service. I could care less that these guys are attention hungry, but what they're doing puts the community at jeopardy.

I think the real downfall of youtube if it comes. Isn't the cheats, but them being more discussed then the current events of this week. I am stunned, the house, senate shifts, Rumsfeld resigns, and cheats i higher discussed then all that. .. I am not even mentioning Iraq. The community is disapointing.

Newcomers check out those boring videos to later click the banner instead of the subscribe button to escape misery. YouTube makes money off boring videos in the top charts and procrastinates fixing cheaters... up until FreeWingz uncovered the conspiracy! *puff puff* .. Damn I'm good!
As I said, this isn't 100% conclusive proof in itself, but it's as close as I think we can get. There's n old saying that if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck...

I see people who rarely log on who have oodles of subscriptions. You'd think fanatics that only sleep and Tube would want some way to track their "favorites", whouldn't you?
If both of the Ska Brothers used this account, and neither worked, ate, showered, or did anything but watch videos (which is unlikely) you are still looking at 20 videos per hour per person, or one video every 3 minutes per person, and that again is assuming no job, and zero time for anything but sleep and YouTube.

We know that the average amount of sleep every human needs is 8 hours a night, or 1/3 of the month. We also know that there are two ska brothers, Jimmy and Johnny.

This video is excellent for what it does. To some it may be boring and meticulous, but it is genuinely honest and fact-seeking.. it may be flawed in some ways, but it takes the viewer through a process. And the hypothesis is well described.

here it is 1 day l8er and johnny ska has watched over 4000 more vids than when you made your video....
so assuming it's been a full 24 hours since your vid till now AND that he has spent ALL of that on YT...
that works out to .36 seconds a movie... or using your numbers he gets 7.1 hours of free time a day... that means that he would have had to spend .10 seconds per video!!!
I'm probably having lag, but so far today, it's only looks like they've gone up by 120 or so today.
However "only" is a subjective term since 120 in 7 hours still works out to a video every 10 minutes or so. However, I've been watching their profile, and those 120 views all added up in about 5 minutes time! That's a LOT faster!

You will remove all of your videos from YouTube. You will then post a video appologizing for taking advantage of the community. after 48 hours, you close your YouTube account.

Something just occured to me. The biggest problem with the Ska Brothers' comedy is that it's forced.
They're pushing and pushing on their humor, trying to make it work. They color it with prolific blue humor and other low brow garbage, because they need to compensate for talent that they might indeed have, but have never learned to let out.

However, I do agree that there certainly is cheating involved in JohnnySka case - but please, don't make such blatant assumptions, not even against cheaters.
How about this instead: 182,797 / 271 days = 674.5 videos viewed per day. Which is 28 videos per hour, or about 1 video watched every two minutes. This formula assumes no sleeping, no eating, no bathroom breaks, no job, no performances, no uploads, no bathing, no internet downtime, no sniffling, sneezing, coughing, aching, fever...

Yeah. I checked it out and this is different. They are definitely cheating. The only comments on any of their videos are from fake profiles. I have 2 profiles, (one for films and the other for special features/blogs) I hope that's not really cheating. I mean, the whole cheating issue on youtube is getting huge now. WOWEEE!

This video is excellent for what it does. To some it may be boring and meticulous, but it is genuinely honest and fact-seeking.. it may be flawed in some ways, but it takes the viewer through a process. And the hypothesis is well described.

here it is 1 day l8er and johnny ska has watched over 4000 more vids than when you made your video....
so assuming it's been a full 24 hours since your vid till now AND that he has spent ALL of that on YT...
that works out to .36 seconds a movie... or using your numbers he gets 7.1 hours of free time a day... that means that he would have had to spend .10 seconds per video!!!

I'm probably having lag, but so far today, it's only looks like they've gone up by 120 or so today.
However "only" is a subjective term since 120 in 7 hours still works out to a video every 10 minutes or so. However, I've been watching their profile, and those 120 views all added up in about 5 minutes time! That's a LOT faster!

I took your theory about "number of videos watched" and then went to the "most subscribed of all time" page and looked around at a few channels who's sudden leaps surprised me..and I was surprised to see that other people have a similar problem with their profile as the one you've described. Something just occured to me. The biggest problem with the Ska Brothers' comedy is that it's forced.
They're pushing and pushing on their humor, trying to make it work. They color it with prolific blue humor and other low brow garbage, because they need to compensate for talent that they might indeed have, but have never learned to let out.
To that extent, I offer my services to the Ska Brothers as a comedy trainer. I'll even let them stay in my house while I train them.

The sad part is, if the Ska Brothers put more effort into their act than they did into this scam, they might actually have a comedy act worth viewing. Maybe. I do not like your methodology at all, it's completely flawed to say the least.
However, I do agree that there certainly is cheating involved in JohnnySka case - but please, don't make such blatant assumptions, not even against cheaters.

How about this instead: 182,797 / 271 days = 674.5 videos viewed per day. Which is 28 videos per hour, or about 1 video watched every two minutes. This formula assumes no sleeping, no eating, no bathroom breaks, no job, no performances, no uploads, no bathing, no internet downtime, no sniffling, sneezing, coughing, aching, fever...

I always felt in my gut that the ska brothers sucked really bad, on account of they're being so not funny. I saw their live show where they did "stand-up" in front of 200+ people and it was quiet. I could swear I heard crickets contemplating suicide.
