Around 2.38 is the most unconvincing gaylord fight I've seen for some time. Holmes, if he was so smart, could easily have gone for an eye gouge or kick in the balls to disable Moriaty, but seemed to have a preference for homoerotic wrestling.

i really dont think holmes and moriarty were ever even remotely affectionate. in fact, i do often differ as well with the assupption that holmes was even gay. he appears impartial throughout the stories, with the single exception of "the woman" who was, as any observant person might note, female.

After Moriarty accounted all Holmes'passes in Moriarty's Empire's direction he told Holmes must drop the case or must to die. So Holmes as a real gentlemen didn't kill Moriarty at the study but prefer to continue play this dangerous game. This bit was took from Russian Sherlock Holmes.

He really doesn't know English language and couldn't translate all personages are talking about;( But we рзу it'd be new edition... maybe:-)

The Moriarity in the Basil Rathbone movies is, I believe, Lionel Atwill. If you'll notice his eyes, they are made to look rather snake-like, which is the way Doyle described them.

Probably one of my favorite Moriarty stories is 'The Valley Of Fear' You never see him in the story but his presence is felt throughout the story in a really menacing off screen sort of way. I wish someone would do a worthwhile film/TV adaptation of it someday.

There is a bit of slash in this film - Moriarty caught Holmes and try to kill him. Not very successful, as usual. But the conversation between Holmes and Moriarty is full of innuendoes;)
