i had a bottle of cider (to get warmed up) lost everyone i was with about 10 minutes in and got right out ma bin about 20 minutes later. on the shows double dunting and then oan it for about a week after. happy days, nae stress or hassle and every cunt looked out for everyone else. sad time when it ended up at least we have (most) of the memories.
Scotland was good as they were all nighters but you cant beat the original Rez' at the mayfair Newcastle, how sad that its now a multi plex cinema and gone forever...RIP Rez and Mayfair. Met some of the best people in my life at those events

Combination mate. The scene was fresh then, the 90's were the 90's and you can't recapture that again.
But yeah, I started taking E about 94 / 95 and I got the the tail end of the real stuff (speckled doves, etc).
£15 for one, I'd take half to guage the strength and the other half later to keep me buzzing. 12 hours later I'd still be buzzing. Now it's a couple of quid for "E" and all it does is make you gouch for a few hours. You aint dancing for 24h on that shite

@clitmint I agree and I know what you are saying. I stopped taking them about '96 / '97 when I realised they had got shit. Although we all used the word "smack" it probably isn't as they wouldn't cut E with a more expensive drug (Heroin). But there must be some sort of downers in them instead now. Some folk said it was just our bodies had changed, but I only had to look at the people lying around mongoed to know those weren't E. The change in drugs killed the scene, absolutely.

i had a bottle of cider (to get warmed up) lost everyone i was with about 10 minutes in and got right out ma bin about 20 minutes later. on the shows double dunting and then oan it for about a week after. happy days, nae stress or hassle and every cunt looked out for everyone else. sad time when it ended up at least we have (most) of the memories.

Scotland was good as they were all nighters but you cant beat the original Rez' at the mayfair Newcastle, how sad that its now a multi plex cinema and gone forever...RIP Rez and Mayfair. Met some of the best people in my life at those events

Combination mate. The scene was fresh then, the 90's were the 90's and you can't recapture that again.
But yeah, I started taking E about 94 / 95 and I got the the tail end of the real stuff (speckled doves, etc).
£15 for one, I'd take half to guage the strength and the other half later to keep me buzzing. 12 hours later I'd still be buzzing. Now it's a couple of quid for "E" and all it does is make you gouch for a few hours. You aint dancing for 24h on that shite

@Cathain78 Its all about the level of smack they put in the fuckin e's these days,, there is no "high" anymore, you know what i mean since you were taken them back then,, I stopped taken e about 8 or 9yrs ago (was never heavy into them anyway), i went to a party a couple of months back, n my m8s were all taken them and they were near sleepin, so they must be full of smack nowdays,, im glad i buy Jack D, n smoke weed every now n then.
You know a party is shit when you feel like leaving at 1am.

@clitmint I agree and I know what you are saying. I stopped taking them about '96 / '97 when I realised they had got shit. Although we all used the word "smack" it probably isn't as they wouldn't cut E with a more expensive drug (Heroin). But there must be some sort of downers in them instead now. Some folk said it was just our bodies had changed, but I only had to look at the people lying around mongoed to know those weren't E. The change in drugs killed the scene, absolutely.

@Cathain78 I guess thats why i thought there was smack in e's then lol, I remember being told to stop buyin cannabis resin back in 98 cos there was stories going around that there was smack being mixed into it to get people hooked properly, dont know if it was "just stories", but i took heed of the warning and stopped,, strange enough some people ended up smoking herion
I have been growing my own weed for the past 10yrs now anyway personal use tho, i have never sold any (or gave any away lol),

Should have seen it in the early nineties you cant call these raves. i know what u are saying there chrisyboy im from the blackburn illegal raves back in 1988 but i went to this and rez 3 and 4 and they was banging but fantazia at donnington was the best one i ever went to closley followed by Amnesia House the book of love ,scotland was a few years behind us which was a good thing as the atmoshere at rez was just as good not full of posers like what was happining in england ,just a shame raves dead these days as disco biskets are shit now :(

Had the choice of going to this or the first T in the Park fukin glad a went to The Event 2 one of the best nights ever.
We ended up jumpin about with a big squad from Blackpool with this old guy and his wife both of them about 50 year old hit about in trackies and wraparound shades out their nuts.
