No, I'm not. This is not a form of cheating. The game appropriately rewards you because hacking into a bank and stealing the account information is proportionately more difficult than anything that the player will be exposed to this early in the game, and to reward you, the game lets you keep the money you get and it gives you a gigantic boost in Uplink rating.
Using a cheat engine removes the thrill of accomplishing the task yourself.
The means at which the reward is acquired removes the sense of pride and accomplishment you would normally achieve by performing the task legitimately.
The only time I condone cheating is if the game has already been beaten or if you just want to test something out.
If you cheat to see if a certain upgrade is worth time and effort like in this video, then fine.
If you cheat and then don't revoke what you earned from cheating, shame on you,
And you don't need to make yourself an account at any other bank, you can just transfer money to your Uplink account, just make sure you clear out the transfer logs
Or instead of noting down all the accounts you can, just do one of the money tracking missions and note down the recieving account with around 100'000c and just go in later and steal it.
