Actually So you all know big w go to conferences with walwart for there ideas and signage. If they say to big w jump they ask how high. Thats why there Signage are the same as Walmart.

Woolworths in the States bit it a looooong time ago, before Wal-Mart started its big national push.Wal-Mart is only now dipping its feet in the Australian market. Also, Target Australia is not the same as Target USA, other than the bullseye logo.

Big W (woolworths aust) uses some of the wal-mart design, singage, etc. I noticed that when i watched an episode of Oprah and she was in a walmart store. In terms of ownership, there is none there, unless walmart own shares i don't know about. And no, we in australia have no wal-mart, and i think we will be better without it.
