  • Good show

  • Thats a good idea but seems kinda gross tho didnt think thos fish where to good haha

  • All I can say its that I'm so greatful for people like you..... making it all available here for those who want the info. Thanx so much!

  • Blow your nose already.........

  • I don't understand what you are catching. English is not my native language, can you tell me?

  • im 16 and i have to say... i would love to be like him !

  • Why isn't this guy on tv yet?

  • Great ideas with the soup, minnows and grass seeds.

    Thanks!

  • What kind of messkit ( I call it a messkit) is this?

    ~toast

  • Grains seems pretty inefficient, I think I would put most of my energies towards fishing, hunting, and setting up traps. If I ran into edible plants then I'd eat them but they just dont provide enough compared to everything else.

  • Great video.

  • The reindeer moss is great in stews as well. Or grind it up and use as a thickener. Kinda tasteless.

  • @Edzherenow99 Just make sure nobodies used it for "TP" before you try to eat it.

  • What those minnows were thinking...

  • can you eat those brier leaves raw

  • Pretty smart man, hopefully the word will spread and we will put Walmart and Mcdonalds out of business. You forgot to tell everyone the best part, this meal was all organic.

  • Excellent vid....Keep 'em coming.

Love all your videos. Good Job.

Love your love of the outdoors.

  • I know the minnows were to small to clean but if I wanted to could I literally squeeze the crap out of their bellys? That was my only problem with the soup.

  • @mrouterrim they would just bust and spill guts everywhere....

  • i am goin to put this to good us

  • Subscribed, thanks

  • Hey TrapperJack, what knife is that, looks like a really good bushcraft knife.

  • Hey TrapperJack what kind of bracket fungus do you use for your stove? What books do you recommend me using to study mushrooms? I live in NYC.

  • @sbhuiyan I use the brackets off of the scarlet pin oak (red oak) known as the red belt bracket fungus

  • Hey TrapperJack what kind of bracket fungus do you use for your stove?

  • Thanks again Jack fir another awesome video brother

  • @winnipegdiver Thank you for watching . i have more vids coming soon ,Jack

  • you are a real gift. thank you brother

  • wow thats an awesone knife like perfect size. btw i think you should have a bowie knife and a tomahawk

  • Hey Jack, awesome videos! And thanks for not demonstrating the fern leaves...

  • Everyone: Please make sure you know what the hell you are doing when collecting mushrooms! If you don't and you eat the wrong ones you are dead. Period end of statement. If you want to collect mushrooms go with someone that knows what they are doing and don't collect them on your own until you are sure what you are looking at. This man obviously knows these are good to eat but you only make one mistake with mushrooms!

  • this should be on the discovery channel or something

  • What kind of berries were those?

  • @hellerZauberer blue berries.

  • @trapperjacksurvival

im sure you get this all the time. But Jack your the greatest. Your vids are a great contribution and are most appreciated...I know this sounds kinda childish. But i wish i had an uncle or someone in my fam like you. I would love to go on a camping trip with you sometime (as im sure all of your subscibers do). It would be so much fun getting to soak up you valuable information

  • @skrilla84 i do that sometimes, camp and train my viewers that live in my area. it is a pleasure to share my knowledge with everyone.

  • This guy is awesome

  • hey are you australian?????

  • All of that is terrific, but it would be easier to crush the berries in the water can *before* you add any water. Just a observation.

  • @BatfoxBabe if yu do it his way you get all the juice into the waterrrr!

  • this is sooo fabulous!!! Good quality sound and image too. I love this channel!

  • I believe I have found a new favorite channel. Now THAT'S puttin yer survival $ where yer mouth is! Real stuff. Thank you. Peace, Love, and light to you and yours.

  • Great video thanks for posting! :) Where is this?

  • Deer moss = natural Styrofoam!

  • loved this video. what knife is that?

  • Why did you not just get big rocks and cut some branches with your knife? I respect your opinion but you could block them in and catch them slightly easier.

  • They're jumpin out the freekin pan while your back is turned! haw haw!!!! Nice vid dude.

  • deer moss is great fire starter and with all the palms u could have got a bunch of new shoots which 2 me tastes like coconut. florida provides a lot if u kno wat 2 look 4.

  • I'm surprised you didn't give the standard warning on mushroom identification. Funny thing is, what you cooked there is probably 100 percent more healthy to eat than anything you woud buy in a store. Nothing unhealthy about that meal at all! A nice panfish on the side and you woould have had a gourmet meal!

  • hi traperjack love your vids but was worried about the grass seeds as there is a fungus called urgot that grows with grass seed that is deadly when eaten but maybe its just a uk thing ? i envy the freedom you have in the states, you can only camp on sites in the uk or you are trespassing, and can be arrested, regards Gez.

  • how about sending me a mayo jar of that soup lol

  • no acerques mucho el microfono a tu voca , tu respiracion se escucha fuerte.. es muy molestoso.. disculpa amigo..

  • I've never seen a deer moss before... That stuff looks really neat.

So tell me... Can you survive with good energy off of meals like that one? It looked like it would only stave off starvation for a while. It did look pretty nutritious though.

  • man do you smoke ? you sound out of breath

  • @kevbro321 out of breath yes.. after miles of hiking into that chain of lakes on a 100 degree day.

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, Trapper Jack. Thanks for the information! I like the camera angles you use to show what you're explaining and you do a great job communicating what you are demonstrating. I've just seen a couple of your other vids and had to take some time out to thank you for your time and effort in putting these videos online to share. We're about the same age but I'm just a city boy eager to learn these skill sets. Compared to others, your videos are rich in content & useful application value. Thanks!

  • @planodp thank you for watching

  • Interesting that you just can eat those fish without cleaning the innards. Thanx Jack, nice video clip.

  • For anyone interested, the cook set he uses in this vid is a coleman MAX set. Excellent set for the price and easy to find at wal-mart.

    Good vid.. thanks

  • I can't help but feel sorry for these minnows yet i don't really care when a rabbit gets killed for food, strange.

  • To make that soup even better go get of those palm hearts looks good i love going out primitive camping with my kayak great vids

  • these vids are great.

  • Whats that knife called?

  • it is a camillus "savage"

  • Thanks Jack

  • be carefull with mushrooms there are many many different kinds of poisonous shrooms that look the same as the non-poisonous shrooms that can kill you or make you very sick.

that soup looks good though. i guess it would be good to cook up a soup like that in case you cant find any squrills or possums etc.

  • I'm surprised you can find a place here in central Florida where you can build a fire and not get arrested.

  • super meal. thanks for posting this

  • Fl is a good place to survive.

  • @trapperjacksurvival I live there :)

    and i also subscribed!!!!!!!!

  • thanks for watching! i would love to see some pics of your blade.

  • me too

  • Hey Jack. How ya'll are? I own the Western version of tthe knife you use. Outstanding blades, both of em! I've been involved in survival for 48 years and it's good to see someone else into the real thing. Keep those vids comin guy. Great stuff. The real thing. Everything I've seen you do in your vids is familiar to me after 48 years of it. I rekkin I've learned a thang er three in 57 years :) and you're well into it too.

  • Hey I was wondering, where are you located, for that looks familiar to me,I mean it's hard to find instructional videos for my type of climate area,so it's nice to see this sort of thing :D

    thanks

  • Central florida , the ocala area
