Just got the Zi8. I need to figure out the best way to process the video then load it to YouTube and Facebook. I have both an iMac and PC Any suggestions? I think there is a way to email the video file to YouTube and have it automatically share it with my FaceBook page.
What settings did you use on the camera and what software did you use to process it?
your little girl has melted my heart. soooooooo cute!!!!!! i want the zi8, but i'm going to wait for the kodak zx3 to come out. it has the same features, and it's waterproof to 10 feet. great for snorkeling.

On my recommendation, some friends of mine (with a newborn) bought the first model Kodac ZI6. They ended up returning it because they said it was "too big" and barely fit in their pocket (like my Flip). Which is lame, because I had heard the Kodak video quality was superior. Who cares about pocket comfort when you want the best quality video of your child?
That's a pretty weird complaint. I mean, is the Flip really that much thinner?
I haven't read any comparison reviews, but favored the Kodak for the expandable memory and higher resolution. Although, now that I think about it, I'll probably be shooting mostly in 720p since it will most likely all end up on the internets.

i was lucky.. picked up mine in November on sale at best buy for $149.99 and i have bought 4GB SDHC for $9.99 and then on backfriday 8gb for $12.99

A price was on the website you linked to. They are $179 on the Kodak page. I should read before writing.

Yeah, it's under $200. But you have to buy an SDHC card separately, as it has no internal storage. I picked up an 8GB SDHC for $20.
