Best way to get rid of them with ou using chemicals and taking forever to get them out is baby oil! Drench the hair and scalp in baby oil, take a shower cap and leave on for a few hours...its gonna be very messy, then before bed time, use one of those lice combs, and comb through every part of the hair.

It worked for me.

Only for long hair..

Fill your sink w/hot water take all your hair & bend over the sink then let your hair float in the hot water for 15-20 minutes 2-3× every day.

(Careful not to let it touch your scalp)

Then w/a strong bristle brush run hot water over it & brush from scalp to ends of hair.

Blow dry w/hot dryer, 4-7 days should do it. Tie hair up.

i will give you a really easy one it only take 2 hours to get some ride of it use salt in vineger and also ariel that people use for the clothing

1st put the vineger 1st then the salt leave it for about 1 hour then you get in the shower wash it out with ariel then with your reagular shampoo in thats it in you will get results fast...

In 6th grade I got lice and we washed my head with the pesticide stuff, cleaned all of our sheets and anything that the lice would be on, but they kept on coming back (not totally sure we actually got rid of it) we did this over 10 times untill finally I spent my weekend with vacalline in my hair, and a shower cap :)

Listerine kills the live ones. Put it on and tie a plastic bag around the hair for an hour. then repeated every 3rd day to break the breeding cycle. I live in the tropics where they atre rampant and this works. I use conditioner to comb out the eggs.

It is a fiction that lice live in bedding etc. They cannot survive off a human head for very long, so you do not have to treat the environment. Transfer of lice is from direct head to head contact. Just washing the bedding as normal is all you need, but it is not essential.

Have you ever had lice? I've used all types of remedies to kill lice on my body and they all work but i dont start having lice problems again until contact with my bedding, clothing, or car seats. They may not live in bedding, but im sure they lay eggs on anything fibrious waiting. Are there anything else that could be mistaken for lice, that you know of? FIGHTING LICE IS HELL!!!

@diezelish You need to put all (suspect) bedding clothing etc... in either sealed plastic bags like a garbage bag for 2 weeks. Or wash in HOT water and Dry on HOT cycle!This will give time enough for all lice and all eggs that hatch to starve to death, since lice eggs hatch in about 7 days! It's a pain in the ass time consuming process, that may seem repetative since any new bedding you sleep on while you have lice will need the same treatment!!! Lice come straight from the Devil himself!!!

You just run a normal lice comb through afterwards.

If you do not want to brush it cos you have dreads etc. Just treat your hair every 2nd day or 3rd day for a couple of weeks. This will kill the breeding cycle. The nymphys (newly hatched lice) take about ten days to reach maturity.

Use a wide-tooth comb to get the tangles out of your hair. Do it while you are in the shower, right after you have shampooed your hair. Use a shampoo that is medicated, and mix it with a little tea tree oil. After you use the wide-tooth comb, use the little nit comb. Repeat these steps every day for about a week, and you should be fine.

For those who have trouble getting the eggs, then try rub food oil into your hair. Then your hair becomes really greasy, and the eggs will easily slide out when you peel them. This works for the lice, too. Trust me, it works. My mom did that when I had lice.

I had lice and then I put mayo in it for about 2 hours and then if your hair is like mine ( Thick and curly ) rinse, mix vingerand warm water then dump it on your head leave for 5 minites condition then shampo ( do not wash put the vinger before you condition repeat in 7 to 8 days to getthe suckers OUT of there -if you keep doing it It will get better

i had lice not long ago. soak your hair in rubbing alchohol for about an hour or 2 (if you're hair is like mine anyway. i have soft silky long straight hair if that helps anyone) but yeah maybe an hour or so and that should kill em. watch it they fall out :P

Also, use light olive oil or coconut oil. They cant breath in it, then they die. Traditional Asians like myself use this method because its hot and humid in most parts of Asia and they get it alot over there. Even being born and raised here, its still great to use for healthy hair and shine! Try it! :)

Your right! we had lice about 4 years ago and we would leave the olive oil in our hair while we slept and we would wear shower caps. it worked great. they were gone with in 4 days.
