  • Hard drive doesn't slow your games down, it's your graphic card.

  • and of course it runs fine graphics wise its an 11 inch monitor at 900x600 resolution ahah.. plug into hd monitor and run at 1080p and see how it runs then... i think thinkpads are overpriced... if you wanted to play crysis you could have gotten a asus g62, the greenish one, for like 600 bucks used

  • get to assault,

by the end of that level you'l realize that dual-cores arent for gaming

  • hey man can you give me specs? how much does this laptops costs?

  • @elchicoboy - Lenovo has a website, dude. They even let you do this thing where they have you select what country you're located in. It's pretty badass.

  • @elchicoboy

lgo to lenovo.c0m, and at ibm's refurbished it is 450.00

  • How can you play Crysis on t400? I have the same thinkpad, but I can't run even Battlefield 2 on high settings. Do you use some upgrades or external video card or sth? What should I do to play newer games without problems?

  • Hey kkkkkkkkk92 and RedlineR24, I might have the answer to your problem and bad news. Well, the reason why wd853 can play those games and you can't is because not all Lenovo's T400 got the switchable graphics ATI card, only some types of Lenovo's T400 got it, these are the model types: 2764, 2765, 2766, 2767, 2768, 2769, 2773.

You probably have other model type, you can check your model type in the bottom of your laptop or in the box it came.

  • i have the same laptop but i have problem when i am installing video card driver, the screen goes black when installing ati catalyst, and i have windows 7, any solutions ?

  • Hey RedlineR24, the reason why your screen goes black is probably because of the model type of your T400, you can read my comment on kkkkkkkkk92 for more information.

  • @KM1509 ok thanks for info, i checked mine and it's version is 2767, so is there anyway i can install ati catalyst or switchable graphics thing ?

  • gaming laptops should have trackpoint

  • ohh my good you play on low?

  • holy shit you can actually aim with that thing

  • are these lowest settings ????

  • wow, who said thinkpads were all business and no gaming?

  • @n0y0x Everyone should. My Thinkpad T400 is terrible. My graphics card is the number one hinder there is. In fact, with only a 160 Gb hard drive, 2Gb of RAM, and such a low level graphics card, it is meant for hardly any gaming. The only reason that his laptop can run Crysis is because he opened it up and upgraded the parts.

  • What are the specs

  • HEY I GOT THE SAME LAPTOP wut video u got? i got a 128mb card but under the DXDIAG it says 512mb and i wanna use the 512mb so can u help me?

  • wait, you're using the trackpoint?

    holy shit!

  • lol i know nasty it is... the guy should slap a usb mouse in there LOL

  • Comment removed

  • Gaming with the Trackpoint? Hell yeah, that's how us Thinkpad boys do it!

  • yeah!! who needs a mouse anyways? All you ever need is a trackpoint baby. XD

  • @cvec7

The only comfortable and durable Trackpoint in the history of computer manufacturing.

  • Can You post the settings at which you are playing?

  • i thought benches and reviews said the discrete card (Ati 3470) was too weak to run Crysis on playable settings? what settings is this being run at?

  • man... if only the t500 had as good of a screen as that

  • it must be LED

  • yup =D

  • holy crap the screen is good

  • Are you using the Integrated Intel GMA 4500MHD

    or the dedicated ATI?

  • ATI most likely.. the intel would get slaughtered

  • No V-Sync = failure

  • sad that the quality of the video is a bit low....

  • LOL

So your the one who killed me

    at 0:32

I was doing something then you killed me

How stupid was I to be at that place

    But you were good

  • how much FPS are you getting? I'd really like to know. I'm thinking about getting one of these soon. How is the flex as well? There's videos floating around with amazing flex on the t400 which scares the crap out of me. I own an x61 right now but want some power!

  • i would have to say pass on the think pad if you are looking at it for gaming, I have one and the flex is bothersome and some what annoying. The graphics are not the best and it definitely was not made for gaming. Strictly business. So i would look into HP Laptops if you need ones for games! HP or Toshiba seems to be the way to go in today's market.

  • I agree with this but I still use my T61 for CoD4 on the go =D

  • hey now the newer t400s have no flex issues. i brought one, no flex issues here.

  • You should say t400 by itself. xD There's another model called the t400s which is veeery different. x.x;

  • yea sorry i didn't mean T400S model, i was meaning the T400's lol, never used a t400S model, the new T400 model. its kinda good, no flex issues at all.

  • Wow! You are very aggressive! How can you play like that? That's amazing! Like a real pro-shooter!

  • what the hell? you're using the trackpoint to aim? nice.

  • what is trackpoint?

  • the red dot thingy on the keyboard you can use to move instead of a mouse

  • Hm.., it looks nice. Thanks for the information!

  • "1) The T400 isn't offered with the Radeon 3650. It uses the Radeon 3470 for discreet graphics. 2) The stuttering shouldn't be caused by the hard drive, as the graphics are not swapped to and from the hard drive that much. I think Crysis is just a bit much for the T400 it all, and that's nothing to be ashamed of. Few notebooks will run that particular game really well. Great video though. The high quality is appreciated."

  • sorry, I hit the remove by accident. Anyways, how do you explain the lack of stuttering once the hard drive is replace by another? and I don't think graphic cards lag that way.

  • What resolution did you play the game in?

  • Nice, I'm planning to buy T400

  • Never mind, I just saw on your other video that it's the ATI Radeon 3650. What newer games can this card run smoothly in medium settings?

  • What GPU does your T400 have?

  • Gonna play it later and get u the real number.

  • est. fps?
