  • it makes me cry

  • Chances are, Hollywood of today will never be able to mimic the beauty that was the Hollywood of old. So much class, so much grace, its what we are actually missing these days.

  • Holy mother of god did you really just said that one of the most giant classic of all time, the one that inspired a lot of the best actors and directors of our time is a crap movie?! Wow that's like saying the beatles were just a band. Or that the pyramids of Egypt are nothing more than a bunch of piled rocks. Honestly...

  • It's just a dated black & white wartime propagnada flick. I'm glad Bogart got cancer.

  • IS A GOOD FILM...!

  • This is the best Film ever made in the film industry.

  • The Godfather the best movie of all times, but this one is up there too.

  • american classic, this is like one of the most iconic scenes in movie history lol

  • In this two minute clip are about 10 of the best lines ever to grace the silver screen.

  • Best script ever

  • the last scene of casablanca is very sweet romantic and sad

  • This movie is amazing, its just so sad I cant watch it any more

  • Absolutely beautiful

  • love this scene

  • Omfg. Ingrid is SO beautiful.

  • Watched it again tonight. Love it more and more...

  • baba's a Bogey fan!

  • seriously

this may sound like a sterotype but girls WERE pretty back then

i just want to know how they did it !

  • women in those days were pretty

  • Slick ass foo. Now that's how you let go of a girl. Bogy does it best!!!

  • I want her lips so badly!

  • Rick knew it could never work out between them....a)she is too high maintanence

b)she would want to make him go respectable.

    c)He would soon go broke.

d)With no credibility i.e cash..she would soon have left him.....again.

good on yer Rick a proper mans man.

Well at least they had Paris.

  • "I'm only a poor corrupt official" Only one of dozens of great and memorable lines from this movie. If anyone can think of another movie that has more great quotes than this one, please let me know. "Or aren't you the kind that tells?"

  • Great movie.... I wish to be there...

  • you know the budget for the movie was so low the airplane in the backround is realy cardboard, and the people loading luggage into the plane are midgets

  • bogart once threw poopy at a walrus who was riding a eunich, then the walrus bricked on his own peepee THE END

  • Bogart should have won the Oscar for this, plain and simple.

  • Bogart is the man

  • merveilleuse scene d'antologie...Merci au noir et blanc, aux années 50, à bogey et à la superbe et craquante Ingrid Bergman...

  • when the engines of the plane started i cryied...

  • This movie is one of my favorites. Bogey rules!

  • I was in Casablanca last summer and i miss it.

  • Bellissimo film!!Un classico!!

  • great movie, lots of funny moments yet the seriousness of it could still grab you

  • Bogart!

why must u be such a badass

  • "We'll always have Paris"

A pity that can't be said anymore between lovers these days, as Paris has become a hyper-commercialized Third World cesspool.

In fact, not just Paris, but _all_ of the urban West. And not "become", but rather "transformed into" by a group of powerful, bloodthirsty, degenerate psychopaths.

  • You know what they say, capitalism killed the cat! Or was that curiosity? Doesnt matter...

  • CLASIC

  • she belongs with Victor but she loves Nick and wants to stay with him.

    we will always have Casablanca

  • isn't it rick? :P

  • right his name is rick. cheers

  • ALL TIME CLASSIC SCENE!

  • the most classic scene in all of film history

  • one of my all time favorites:)

  • Ingrid Bergman is such a fox.

  • totally agree!

  • "...maybe not now, but soon and for the rest of your life..." Brilliant. Also, due to the budget, the airplane in the background was a scale model.

  • i love it!

  • humphrey the king son

  • Happy 66th Birthday, Casablanca!

  • Audrey Hepburn reminds me a little of Debra Messing, that plays Grace on the "Will and Grace" show...

  • Do you mean Ingrid Bergman?

  • Oh yes, stupid me, Ingrid Bergman, of course!

  • Love Humphrey

  • the plane was a cardboard cutout. does anyone know where this was really shot?

  • Political correctness is a sham. Feminism? Not so much. Only a knuckle-dragger wishes for the "good ole' days" when women were under the thumbs of so-called "head of households".

  • Lovely and sexy all at the same time

  • Bogey was without the doubt the coolest actor in the history of American cinema.

  • you my good sir are a moron

  • No, I'm just a realist. Posting a reply like that just proves my point. YOU, my good sir, are a moron.

  • Oh please, Bogart is legend and his work still carries his reputation as one of Hollywood's greatest to this day. And you should learn how to express yourself more eloquently, and shit.

  • 1. Great talent (just look at Casablanca, The African queen...)

    2. Memorable movies (Casablanca, The maltese Falcon, To have and have not, The big sleep, The treasure of sierra madre, High sierra...)

    3. The ultimate tough guy.

    4. If you have nothing good to say about someone, specially someone like Humphrey Bogart, just shut the fuck up. Thank you very much.

  • Look here pal: who the fuck do you fucking think you fucking are, you fucking idiot? Why do you even get the chance to talk? Humphrey Bogart is a cinema icon, you will never EVER be half as good as he was , not even if you live to be 100 ok? How the fuck can you say that Casablanca is 'slightly' memorable, it's not slughtly memorable, it's quite simply the most memorable movie ever, considered by many the best movie ever made (just look at the comments on this video), you somehow hate Bogart

  • You may be no goth, but you sure as heck are an immature brat.

  • Someone actually know the REAL movies, unlike you...

Casablanca is one of the greatest movies ever. And Ingrid is sooo pretty.

  • classic.

  • One Of The Best Endings Along With Some Like It Hot "Nobodys Perfect"

    All About Eve "Phoebe"

And Of Course Gone With The Wind

"Frankly My Dear I Don't Give A Damn"

  • best end in movie history.

  • It requires a wise intellectual to appreciate, and recognize the significance of the pioneering entertainers in the movies of yesteryear.

  • It requires a wise intellectual to appreciate, and recognize the significance of the pioneering entertainers in the movies of yesteryear.

  • wow you just said bogart was cheesy. im pretty sure people will still watch this movie when your dead and gone so respect is due on your part wether you admit it or not mas8baller. this movie will be great long after your life is gone and no one will remember you like they remember this movie.

  • There's nothing like the old hollywoodstars. Classy. And our swedish godess ingrid, beautiful =)

  • Casabanca est un film magnifique. Le duo Boggart - Bergman est l'un des plus grands du cinema

  • brilliant, bogart, the finest actor of his generation (even better than welles), and ingred bergman is just TOO gorgeous. love this movie 10/10

  • LOL as cheesy & bad as the acting is its sad these days the value points are lost & that no one loves or believes like that anymore. That noone believes that someone especially a guy could care or love a woman so much as to give her up for her safety or happiness. Even when the few who still see the bigger wider picture everyone else doesnt & that's tragic. Times were different I guess but shouldnt be.

  • Love this film. For me it's about love seeing the bigger picture. Big.

  • Great!, a very touching scene...

  • dimwit, all i got to say

  • In order for something to be "cheesy," it has to conform to a cliché. "Casablanca" created clichés, it is not limited by them.

  • wow never thought that the movie will be so awesome!!!

  • this is the best moive ever made. *tear*

  • I found a link to watch this movie online, full and free:

    blogger-films.blogspot.*com

    (erase the *)

  • Why cant movies be made like this anymore?

  • nothing gets better over time, only worse.

  • best movie ever

  • It's not easy for a love story to make a grown man cry, but Casablanca... this scene in particular... gets to me every single time!

  • Me too, and Ingrid goes under my skin, maybe evrybody's skin. Incredible, moving, touching. Her face, her looks, her eyes, she breaks my heart, in the most charming way that is possible. Thank you Ingrid...

  • She was not Hollywood's whore back then, she just fell in love with a married man. It wasn't her fault. Ok, I admit she shouldn't have run away with him, leaving her family behind, but who are we to judge? Regardless what she did, we, the public, must only judge her screen persona and what she gave us through the years with her movies and her performances. I think she's fantastic.

  • they just dont make movies like they used to this is one of the greats

  • "maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of your life" perfection

  • Every time Bogart says "Here's looking at you, kid" my sould shatters!

  • Best movie of all time!

  • And yhey dont make woman like Ingrid either.

What a babe; what a movie

  • I love this movie...

and humphrey bogart... they don't make men like that anymore. xD

  • You have NO taste. Casablanca is a classic!

  • Damn, Ingrid Bergman is beautiful.

  • One of the best scenes in all of film... I actually cried the first time I saw it :(

  • This is the most romantic scene that ever graced the silver screen...

  • Don't let the unbelievers get to you - you know that love is the best and most mysterious thing in life. This film celebrates that mystery which transcends war, politics, everything. Nice talking to you!

  • One of the all-time best movies. The only other movies that can possibly compare are Gone With the Wind, Breakfast at Tiffany's, and my personal favorite: Camille, not as well-known but definitely heartwrenching.

  • betcha you'd love Life Is Beautiful, it's in italian but it's great!

  • oh, that is a wonderful movie. its truly majestic

  • am i the only one who thinks gone with the wind is overrated? and camille is a great movie, but i've never seen breakfast at tiffany's. whats that about?

  • Gone with the Wind can be pretty exhausting, it is like 4 hours long, but in terms of storyline and acting, it is pretty amazing. Breakfast at Tiffany's is just a great romantic comedy between 2 eccentric people (she's a prostitute and he's a gigolo), obviously unorthodox, but very funny and powerful.

  • well aside from the crazy comments... this is the 2nd best romance movie scene ever(ya know behind "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn"). I'm 21 and I bought this movie when i was 18 and none of my friends would watch it with me till last night and we all loved it.

    just to quote some faves

"I said I'll never leave you!"

    "You never will."

    and

    "Here's lookin at you kid"

    Classic :)

  • And u do not tell me what to do, u don't even know me and u don't boss me around! Not even your parents like you I bet... You must have a real low self-esteem...well, no wonder, I would if i were u. So, if u have a problem with me, cry until you run out of liquid on your body and die, just don't post bad comments on Casablanca...If u don't respect other people, u could at least respect this movie...but that would be too much to ask of u.

  • WHAT??? First off, im a girl, second off: You stupid son of a bitch, go fuck your fat stinky mother, if she's not too busy fucking your best friend! I swear to you, I would sooo shoot you in the head if you were in front of me... I mean, really who do you think you are? You keep posting bad comments on this wonderful movie for what? And the worst part is i have to reply back! Which i hate because i don't like posting this kind of comments on a video from the best movie ever made!

  • ahhhhh this older guy i dated always said we will always have paris... i of course had no clue what he was talking about untill now... damn i wish i didnt throw him to the curb...it was such a good movie....

  • EXCUSE ME?! Do I know you? Who do u think u are talking to me like that, you stupid asshole, DON'T EVER TALK TO ME LIKE THAT AGAIN OK? You don't know me! And yes, THIS is my 9th comment now SO WHAT? This is the best movie ever made and it's my favourite, so I post as many comments as i like ok? You don't like it? Too bad, suicide is a good choice for you!

  • omg you guys are so stupid! 1940semochild was simply poking fun on today's society and how teenagers have become attached to cyber life. Don't take things literally people.....lighten up a bit..

  • what a wonderful movie

i just saw it yesterday, im 19 and its absolutely one of my favorites

  • Q XIQ

  • Although the shots of the planes taxiing and taking off were done at Pomona Airport, this scene was actually filmed in a sound stage inside. The plane you see in the background while they are talking is actually a small size cardboard replica with midgets acting as the crew walking around the plane. This gives the illusion that the plane is further in the distance than it actually was in the studio.

  • The airport used in this scene is the Pomona Municipal Airport. Pomona is a town in eastern Los Angles County, and the airport had/has a faux Moorish appearance to celebrate the past influence of Spain upon the area.

  • this is prolly the best movie ever made!!!!! ive seen it like 100000000000000 times... and i always cry!!!! AMAZING!

  • Este filme é obrigatório para quem quer conhecer bem o cinema.

  • i don't know why you got all these thumbs down. people *would* say "we'll always have facebook" its true...

  • This is my 8th comment on this video, but i just can't stop posting. This film is absolutely incredible... i can't pick just one word to describe, mainly because there are no words to describe, but if i had to pick one it would be 'perfection'.

  • I agree from the bottom of my heart...

  • yep

  • Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of your life.

  • "Here's looking at you kid"is something Americans say when there having a drink together, the Host will pour the drinks and as they both pick up their drinks the one will say it to the other, its like a toast to each other. Great acting by everyone great actors, great script perfect film and great producer, what more could you want

  • EPIC!!

  • shit... the best movie scene of all time

  • " brutal " :-)

  • Here's lookin'at you kid!

  • if youve seen the movie then youd know that rick used the phrase "here's looking at you kid" as a toast in paris during his fling with ilsa, in that context it basically meant "let's celebrate how wonderful you are" but in the context of the final scene it's rick's way of saying "i'm doing this because i love you enough to let you go" he knows she belongs with victor and isnt letting his feelings for her get in the way of that

  • what's the meaning of the last line "Here's looking at you, kid"?

is it something like "don't cry, he is looking at you?"

if so, why saying "here's" instead of "he's"?

  • I'm not sure but i think it means something like 'i'm doing this for you' or something... plus it was a line that he used to say to her back in Paris..but i don't think that anyone knows what it REALLY means...it's just the most beloved movie line of all time...

    'Here's looking at you, kid...'

  • "Here's looking at you kid" was not a part of the script in the beginning...it is a punchline...those words were infact a poker bluff when Bogart thought Bergman to play poker...

  • I know that! I know everything about Casablanca, it's my favourite movie. But in the movie i guess it means that he'll do anything for her and it remained a timeless line. :)

  • wow...you do know about your favorite movie Casablanca...yes...true it is timeless line..

  • it is the top movie of all time. my favourite movie of all time.

  • Great scene from a great movie! Thanks for the post!

  • mate if you have watched it 3 times. and found it boring as hell. why would you keep watching it after the first time.

  • such a great movie!

  • one of if not the greatest movie ever

  • why is it named casablanca ?? when i was little i tough it was about the city where i leave Casablanca in morocco mdr

  • the movie takes place in French Morocco ... Casablanca.

  • This movie is not about Casablanca, but the action take place in Casablanca. Greetings from Poland. M.B.

  • thanks for replying

plz can u tell what the film talks about in generaly ? & was it filmed in casablanca ??

    thaks again

  • Rick (Bogart) and Ilsa (Bergman) meet inParis during the World War 2. They fall in love and because of the Nazis' incasion in Paris they decide to go to Casablanca where they can escape from the war. But Ilsa sends a letter to Rick saying she can't go with him and he must not ask her why. A few months later, she and her husband go to Casablanca for the letters of transit to fly to Olso and Rick is the only one who has them. They meet again in Casablanca... and remember Paris together...

  • thank you :) for this explination

  • They filmed it in the Warner Brothers studio but it's supposed to be set in Casablanca.

It's considered by many as the best movie ever made.

    Hope this helped :)

  • In general this movie is about love... You can find whole movie on You Tube. In my opinion it's fantastic. I don't know if it was filmed in Casablanca. I doubt it, becouse "Casablanca" was made in 1942 and there was war at that time. So it was too dificult to make film in Casablanca I think... By the way, there is bar named "Cafe Americanos" in Casablanca now. The same name had the Rick's bar... and there the action mostly take place. Greetings!!! M.B.

  • ok thank you :)

  • I love this film, but i had seen it years ago. Now I took the film and subtitles from web, but they don't matvh. The subtitles are a few seconds retarded. How can I fix it?

  • What makes it even more interesting is this film is based on a REAL STORY of polish officer.

Yeah we Polish are so f*** romantic :))))

  • shut it

  • the best

  • i've never seen this movie, but i want to see it soooooooo much!!!

  • If that doesn't touch you, then you've long since lost any heart to touch. Best scene in cinema

  • legend

  • here's lookin at you kid

  • those planes in background are made of carboard .

  • It is one of my favourite films

"We will always have Paris." one of the best lines. And I like her hat too.

  • you know, the actress they originally wanted for Casablanca was Rita Hayworth, but they couldn't get her and settled with Ingrid Bergman, honestly though i think Rita could have pulled it off like she did with Gilda, but since so many people have fallen in love with Ingrid,we'll never know if Rita could have done better,of course,NOW its a classic with Ingrid,i certainly agree with that, but we'll never get a clear opinion on how good people think Rita could have been if Ingrid was never in the film

  • There, for a split second, there was condensation in tough Bogey's eyes. They'll always have Paris.

  • oh wow...I love this movie.

  • maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of your life you'll regret it-- its brilliant and beautiful, everything

  • We all need to have Paris

  • love this scene! shoot the whole movie was awesome the fact that "here's looking at you kid" is said to this day points out how much of a classic this movie is!

  • This has to be THE most famous scene in American Cinema. Philip and Julius Epstein were geniuses when they wrote the script.

  • What happened to films these days, this was a film, these days they are crap.

    This was entertainment.
