  • The country went right at the election clegg went left.

NHS bankers bonuses education fees cuts lies and more to come.

This con dem coalition is a failure already.

  • Has anyone tried assassinating him he gets on my bloody nerves if he sacks the nhs he will have a full blown rebellion on his hands

  • When will Wigan Writington and leigh get an inquirey into all the unexpected avoidable deaths they have , ???? I believe they have more than Mid-Staffs

  • The conservative party is for the NHS since 1997 20,000 more mangers have been placed into the NHS compared to 5,000 in 1996

  • Dippy Dave won't be using the NHS or his wife, he looks so disinterested talking to these people because basically deep down he couldn't careless about the NHS,I bet cuts, cuts, cuts are on the way if this bloke gets in power

  • Trusting the Conservatives to look after the NHS is like sending goats to tend the cabbages.

Public Service cuts across the board, unfettered markets, and a total lack of government.

    Business as usual "Dave."

  • I am part of cure the nhs, if you see my account you probably wont believe me but i am and George Dalziel is my grandad :(

  • We Brits MUST protect our beloved NHS from the evil forces of private, fat cat profiteers.

Daniel Hannan of the Conservative party is openly pushing for a sweeping privatisation of the NHS.

The number one reason for homelessness in America is medical bills (co-pays & deductables). People in America have already died of swine flu, whereas nobody in Britain has died of Swine flu despite high infection rates.

    We MUST defend it!

  • Hannan has views seperate from his party, he has explicitly stated that. The Conservatives would never privatise the NHS.. EVER. Thatcher even said so, and she was rather fond of the P word

  • The only way to "defend" the NHS is to make it work.

Preservation-no-matter-what or preservation-in-its-present-form makes as much sense as Pablo Escobar's mother INSISTING that her son is a good boy who has never hurt anyone--it shows how much you DOTE ON the protectee, but it does not mean that you have the right reasons.

There would be no CREDIBLE calls for the privatization of the NHS if it were working or if the massive increased in funds solved its problems.

  • (ERRATUM: "massive increase in")

  • lol cameron is just as funny as boris here holding a cup of tea as if hes at a tea party at least the tories have a sence of humour and make ppl laugh

  • #3 I just pray hes up to the job, because its going to get a lot harder (the economy) and we need a man of steel to dig us out of this mire! Lets pray he is the man, only time will tell, but Im willing to have a bet he is!

  • #2 With this lot its all promises, Im sure some came into politics for the right reasons, but were shredded as required. Cameron at least wears his politics on his shoulders. So what if he went to Eton, if hed acted as a cad wed know all about it, thats for sure!

  • #1:We all know New Labour (sic) is on its last legs, just hanging on for the inevitable annihilation, when ever it comes! For the sake of the country we are all going to have to wear sack cloth and ashes, and rid our selves of this abomination. If it represented the working classes (Im not) then why did they not look after them and not play up to these arrivistes? Maybe Old Labour werent fit to govern but at least you knew where you were with them!

  • Almighty Powerful Lord God Creator Kadhigher Christ in my Son 2000 returned 21st century style as like a thief in the night for what is to be completed and done to raise all the dead up and out of it all restored to original design full blooming eternal youth gold from where man fell creating Satan all that is evil death against my will all under a bastardised crown been sold by your leaders to fire and slaughter fucking evil bastards for death, we are not into niceties this second time around.

  • Fail this the second coming like you failed the first, there is no third and all around you is gone not worth saving anyway, your answer on this the second coming is the same as on the first fuck off God we want Satan all that is evil death all on my earth stolen by man for death the one sin on man only is guilty woman I created from 1% of man help meat is innocent man responsibility our business is with man only, we are in it but not part of it at the bottom of heaven, I am not a patient God.

Make a formal complaint, have it ignored ..take it to the Healthcare Commission, have it ignored again, halt the complaint, get a meeting agreed with the regulators, enentually get the complaint upheld (despite not using the evidence agreed) then HC close prematurely and "escalate to the PHSO", do so, then refer back to HC for further work, re-review an upheld review then get a job in the Care Quality Commission before you will have to monitor two lots of recommendations made 2 NHS Trust

  • Totally agree with you "Voice4rich", Nearly all politicians over the years have said they are going to mend the NHS,which is fine until they see "books" on how the country is run financially. Then they realise they might not be able to actually afford to fix the NHS. Also there are lot of things that defy definition from a political view. According to the Daily Mail today even the word "Family" has been changed. Now it doesn't have to include children at all. How sick is that ?

  • Life happening around the plans we all make and things change! Nothing stays the same and we are all living longer and demanding more. Too many A&E depts are full of people with alcohol and drug problems but then the mental health services are in meltdown and vulnerable people are trying to cope. Not for me to judge!

The biggest drain in the NHS used to be heart transplants but now its IT....along with too many chiefs and not enough indians etc.

Maybe you could try a different newpaper?

David Cameron said "I visited Stafford Hospital on Tuesday - that's the place which had really unacceptable standards of care (as do many other hospitals David!).... he promised the Tories will have a hospital information revolution so hospital failings are exposed quicker....(or not occur preferably!)but maybe the exposing of failures could begin now with questions on why some NHS Trusts provide black bin bags for patients to carry around their belongings in. Humanity? Dignity?

  • JU-4

The Parliamentary process was used vote on Foundation Trust status and that process was endorsed by all parties I believe. But the term Foundation Trust equivalent was I understand an idea by the Secretary of State for Health and his ministers at the Dept of Health as they "needed to keep line of sight on secure services and didn't want secure services to miss out on FT freedoms" Which are 'independence from the Govt. and autonomy to proceed how it likes. Turkeys voting for Christmas?

  • Joined-up (JU) 3

Sell off council houses and then complain nobody has anywhere to live affordably......except for political reasons it appears! Then sell off the specialist NHS hospitals (usually the psychiatric ones as less fuss is created.) Use NHS premises and trained staff (which we have all paid for) to privatise a service which most vulnerable people cannot afford anyway....but someone desparate enough may pay towards treatment and the huge salaries attained by the management teams.

  • JU-2

We are informed by6 the Dept otf Health that "suicide clusters may be indicative of significant system failure" yet suicide figures are not benchmarked and nobody seems to know what figure defines 'a cluster'! So it seems odd that the Government should now choose to withdrawn suicide indicators and maybe thats why the National Director for Mental Health, Louis Appleby can state" the suicide figuires are the lowest on record"....is that because you have stopped recording them maybe?

  • The reason the Government have withdrawn the indicator is because they don't like it probably because the numbers were getting too high. This Government think if they do not count every suicude then "That will be ok", They do the same with the unemployment figures and have done for years, or any other statistic you can think of

  • The whole thing needs joined-up thinking...

The NHS was always a bottomless pit into which one could shovel money without ever even hearing it hit the bottom. But what we must question is the regulation of the NHS..the fact remains if we had a credible, accessible complaints system, which enforced its own recommendations then maybe NHS management teams would sit up and take notice.

We would also do well to remember that opposition parties rarely win elections but Governments often lose them!

  • Ahhh but if you change the complaints system but keep the same folk in charge at the top then that change will be cosmetic and nothing else. Years ago when I went to hospital for a small operation it was million times better than it is now. The money goes in and it still gets wasted. For example to we really need all the highly paid administrators in the NHS. All they do all day is walk around carrying a clipboard and trying to justify their own existence.

  • The Complaints sytem has just changed again and its now even less accessible. Despite being passive at least the Healthcare Commission had a public duty to respond to complaints. Under the latest system the Parliamentary Health Service Ombudsman has a choice to accept or decline. The first point of contact is the trust which you are complaining about and if a FT, you will not have public access to half the documents you currently can access. Clipboard may be for the Daily Mail of course!

  • Give it a rest computersolutions164!

  • Why don't you like the truth or something ?

  • NHS - my house mate is a basic nurse, he works at a local hospital one day a week in A&E and for an angency called Thronbury, - the agency pay him £39 per hour after 2pm sng charge the government double. Thats about £800 for one days work, - this is where our money is being wasted people of this country! We need Labour out, - they have no idea with money at all! Good luck to David and his party I say! (27 year old, White, able bodied Male who has a job and house, ie - normal guy!)

  • My point exactly the AGENCY pay him £39.00 per hour. How much do they keep for themselves ?

How much do they bill the NHS, knowing full well they'll pay it ? Why can't the NHS save money and dispense (no pun intended) with all these bloody agency folk. I am sure your housemate is a good nurse, so why can't the NHS employ him directly ? - instead of going through a third party.

  • Hi Mate, good post. He was working full time but dropped off full time hours to earn the ££££. I can's say I blame him but it is a disgusting amount of money for a days work!

  • Thanks, No I can't blame him either. I have worked in I.T for 20 years and as a rough comparison contract rates are generally around £400-600 p/w

If he is earning £800 a day and the agency are charging their cut on top. That roughly might mean they are billing the NHS say £1000 per day for one person. Thats why there is no money for scanners, doctors, nurses, cleaners etc.

  • Sums it up doesnt it. The Conservatives are out there finding out about these terrible issues and coming up with good policies to fix the mess that has developed under Labour, while the Prime Ministers lackies sit there and make up horrid personal stories against the Shadow Cabinet and Mr Osbornes wife. If theyre not doing this, then theyre probably trying to lock up opposition MPs. It all shows that Labour has no vision and no integrity. They need to go.

  • Remember when labour was out there doing exactly the same as Cameron when they were in opposition ?

Everyone thought they were wonderful and then they got into power and the wheels fell off the cart.

Now or in the next 12 months the reverse will happen and we will just have to wait and see

Anyone has spotted the connection between "Moderate Democrat" Obama being in power when Cameron "Moderate Conservative" comes to power.

I wonder what the implications will be for us, should be interesting

  • the nhs these is shit compared to 40 years ago this is the uk not africa!! why are our hospitals so poorly run its alll about money! vote conservative!

  • Yes but 40 years ago the population was not 60,000,000 either, otherwise yes I agree with you

  • well i know someone and she was a nurse in the 1960's and she says hospitals were far cleaner than they are now and back then you did not have all these chemicals and the patients were more respected the nurses well trained and well behaved! rules for nurses were much stricter back then also this nation has been wrapped in cotton wool to much so our imune systems have been less usefull cause of all the cures, etc now if we get ill nowerdays we react to a cold badly

  • Absolutely correct Georgia. Life just didn't SEEM better years ago it WAS better years ago. Nothing in terms of "systems" put there to look after us really works anymore. We even have coppers killing innocent civilians. What's the betting the officer will get away with it after a lengthly and expensive and pointless enquiry. Save our money and jail him now.

  • I had reason to use the IPCC once upon a time against an officer and ended up getting harassed by them for doing so. Its a case of one rule for them and another rule for us. I found that out very quickly !

  • This country needs the Conservatives today.

Clearly the best party for a caring and honest government.

  • My Great-Grandfather used to say:

"You can vote labour all you want you will never beat the money-men"

Government does not control the country, banks do - Why do you think they fixed the 1997 election fro Blair to win, in return for which they were given independence from Governement. This is a documented fact !

  • your so right. I believe the population was around 48-50 million.

I must add one thing. I have had an awful lot of ilness for the past 23 yrs and have spent a lot of time in Hospitals. Nu Labour always like to claim how many extra billions they have spent on the NHS but I can say with great experience that standards have dropped drastically since they came to power on1997. Believe me things cannot get worse under Cameron, in fact I believe he we make a great PM. VOTE CONSERVATIVE.

  • The one thing that struuck me when my late wife was in hospital was the number of "administrators" walking around aimlessly, checking targets and tables other rubbish. The money wasted on such nonsense should go on nurses and doctors wages, not on people counting things. There is too much outsourcing the the NHS. Too much agency control who charge massive fees for doing nothing, because they know the NHS will pay it. It's the same in I.T and its nothing but a scam.

  • i don't think you will have to worry too much it is a foregone conclusion that Cameron will get in. The election is merely a formality. He is funded by one of the biggest casino magnates going Lord Steinbergs outfit - Stanley Leisure are the people behind him. They will see him into no. 10 - no problem

  • All this money that has been poured into the NHS anyone care to tell me where it has all gone. Nothing seems tio have changed very much. It has probably been spent on administrators / agencies fees, who are not really required but who are nothing more than greedy robbing parasites, who are employed in "NHS non-Jobs" - Why does nothing work properly anymore ?

  • This is a classic example of what David Icke calls "Problem, Reaction, Solution" -

The Government create a "Problem" in order to invoke a "Reaction" from the populous.

The "Solution" purports to be provided by the "saviour", in this case Mr Cameron and then surprise surprise it goes back to business as usual.

Then its all change again and problems are created in the Conservative party and Labour become the "New Saviour"

Not very different from musical chairs. It's been like that for years.

  • Icke thinks too hard. He should go back to calling himself the son of God. Much more entertaining.

  • You obviously did not see the follow up Wogan program in 2004. I think you will find thaty most of Icke's unedited reseach has been proven by a lot of people now. Even Wogan looked ashamed. Even though in 1997 Icke did make a pratt of himself. Don't forget he is an experience UNEDITED journalist unlike say Quentien Letts who is an EDITED journalist, who simply reports what he told to report and not the bits in between. You ought to look at Icke's research before you mock.

  • If Icke is that bad how has he managed to fill most theatres and venues in 40 countries at the last count. People would not go if there was nothing interesting to hear, and they do in their thousands, which really puts the "Son of God" comment in 1997 to bed really doesn't it ?

  • Doesn't Icke also believe that all the world leaders are reptile-like aliens and part of a secret organsiation to enslave thh human race?

  • I am not denying that Icke may have said some stupid things in the past i.e 1997 probably at a time when he did not know what was happening to himself either. All I would say is read a few of his highly political books and understand the structure of how everything is connected. Icke has done a phenominal amount of research and basically knows his stuff (Reptiles Excluded) Read "Children of the Matrix", very interesting and well researched

  • For example ask yourself why some very powerful world leaders, mainly Bilderbergers, & CFR's want the poulation reduced. How they are doing it.

Icke wrote about this 10-15 years ago and was the first to publicise it. Now shock horror surprise Rockefeller (senior) said last year, that the world poulation should be reduced from 6 billion to half a billion.

Now ask yourself why you drink flouridated water, when there is no evidence of flouride protecting your teeth. Look up what flouride does !

  • Very soon, but not soon enough, this government will sink without trace.

I have had absolutely enough of the New Labour LIE.

PLEASE bring to an end this era of survellance, taxation, oppression, political correctness (leftist thought control ) sleaze and lies

  • Yes thats true but so you think it will change under David Cameron. Remember the "agenda", that the illuminati have been plotting for the lasty 60 years will still be implemented, just with a different name above the door - business as usual. Thats why I don't vote !

  • The illuminati eh? That's why you don't vote eh?

    ...Are you actually a retard!?

  • Not in the slightest. I guess you have never studied politics then over the last 60 or so years, longer actually if you go back far enough. I love cutting my teeth with folk like you who seem to think that everything political is "just coincidence" I have reams and reams of information, most of it documented and verfied fact of various event which have led to where we are today and believe me it certainly is not "coincidence" at work. If you care to debate this I'd be happy to prove you wrong

  • One of reasons Mr Cameron will reach No. 10 is simple, look at the dissent which is being created in the labour party, leaks, sleaze etc. Do you seriously believe that all that is just carelessness or do you like me believe that Mr Cameron's rise to power is being "Fast Tracked". They did the same with Thatcher and Thatcher did the same with Wilson and so it goes on. the way to get the opposition into power is to create dissent in the party already in power - simple really.

  • I wonder if Cameron will repeal any of the 2000 plus laws that labour have introduced during their paranoid administration. I did ask him once, he never replied. So I guess the answer must be "NO" then. - Like I said earlier "Business As Usual"

  • who pays for Scotland to have such a fucking great deal out of the Union.... are we paying for it, or does Scotland have to raise their own budget????

  • Got it in one Sherlock. You, me and the rest of us are all paying for Scotland !

  • 3 Higher cold weather payments in Scotland

4 Lower unemployment in Scotland (oil etc)

    5 Glasgow's living wage £7.00 per hour not £5.73

    6 Possibly scapping council tax

If you are Scottish you are very very lucky indeed. The English arn't !!!!!

  • Anyone notice how well Scotland seems to be doing under this administration, not difficult to see why when you look at the number of Scottish MP's in Westminster.

    1 Free Prescriptions

    2. Lowest Negative Equity

I am surethere are lots more things that Scotland has that we do not have. There should be an English Parliament, but this would mean breaking up the UK

  • I Noticedit was 4PM "Tea Time" in Britain I wonder how the Future PM takes his tea?? For me I do Earl Gray.

  • Tremendous. While Brown sits in a bunker or goes to stage-managed events packed with Labour trusties, Cameron is getting out there. The NHS has been wrecked by targets and bureaucracy.

  • I wish he was the PM now.

  • He will be, he is being manipulated into power. Voting does not really come into it

Not too long to wait mate !

  • worked for Gordon . we never voted for him

  • What's Gordon like as a boss to work for then ?

You are right he is an unelected leader and is therefore leading without the authority to do so.

At least "Bliar" was actually elected. I think its a bit rich him converting into a Roamna Catholic after all the shit he caused in Iraq etc

  • @bugledog he is!

  • its east to say things when in opposition... but its a different position when in power!

  • Be nice having an englishman leading us for a change... its funny the acts of union only really were conceivable becuase scots got themselves into a "financial disaster". 300 years later... RBS... HBOS... 12 years of scottish chancellor where are we...

  • Cameron rocks.
