I've only seen Mother of Tears...but I dont understand this "mothers" trilogy...how does it all connect?

Not as fantastic as Suspiria, but it's fun. Great scenes and great photography. And great songs too.

Finished watching this movie thinking it would be good like suspiria. Just people getting stabbed in predictable ways, clueless characters, horrible dialogue and acting, a plot that leads absolutely nowhere, cheesy special effects and a guy who gets killed by some hot dog vendor who stabs him for no reason. it ends by the house burning down completely by accident with a protagonist and a witch too dumb to realize it was on fire. Absolute shit compared to Suspiria.

Suspiria was hands down one of the most amazing film experiences I've ever had. The set design and candy colored Blue and red look were amazing. The entire experience was like a dream caught on camera. Goblin's brilliant whimiscal and creepy atmospheric score was a huge reason why as well there's no doubt. It was packed full of suspense and tension as well. Inferno had none of this...The score was god awful, the set designs were 'too' stylistic and....

and the characters werent as interesteing(Although i really that gorgeous 'mother' in Rome at the music study, as small as her part was ;p) there was ZERO suspense or tension....I just found myself gazing at pretty set pieces that were a bit overly done and 'trying' to be artsy like the original. The only thing in common with this and suspiria is that it retained some of the blue and red hues. The ending was laughable as well...Suspiria sucked me in another world, this didn't

It wasn't scary at all, tbqh. Not really funny either. I had high hopes as I'm a Argentophile, but it was far from scary and the plot would need a heavy duty sewing machine to sew up the plot holes.

Are you mad? Stivaletti has only direct two films, one was Wax Mask which Argento produced. He's mainly known for working on special effects and make-up of other people's films most specifically Argento's. That clip you point to is good but not great, and has Argento influence all over it. I'm sure even Stivaletti would strongly disagree with you. lol
