Reason certainly fits perfectly to Claude:),no matter what software you use,but what matters most is what imagination and talent you have.:)Claude is a fuckin genius.:)Peace
You know what stands this guy apart from everyone else whose ever done a video.. this guy never says umm or aaahh or duh inbetween words... like most people whose brain doesnt hook up so good - this guy speaks slowly clearly intelligently. respect.
sergclrk?? i basically added nonsense with nonsense .... makes me laugh. i never said anything about cvs smoking crack. and im sure your beats are good . try not to take things so serious , lets all make beats and contribute
this guy is a g, so glad to see this video... fawk david spoon, i'm down for the dark shit! so glad to hear 'who's afraid of detroit' was produced on Reason, shhiiiit!
@mynus303 who said crack? i dont think claude is that type to be doin crack buddy! go sniff ure midol dude and let me smoke my weed in peace while i make good beats 80)
I like that he uses his wife and his own voice for the samples... makes his own label and creates his own style of house! simple organic beats raw sounds and trance waves = absolute perfection
anyone know how to get a sample that you make, to work on dr rex? for example. if I make a bass line, on outboard gear. how do I use it on dr. rex? ?? anyone know. because I dont like most of the dr. rex samples in reason
@2Masseev he used the "boomer kick" from the factory soundbank!! for his bassline>>(sorry Barclay :) ) he uses two samplers one loaded with a low sample and another an octave up but ya look at the factory soundbank and u will see the "Boomer" kick its a great 808 type sample YOUR WELCOME
I just wish some of these guys would spend a little bit more time teaching us how they get the arrangements properly nailed etc etc. It's my weakest spot at the moment - I know Reason backwards but I still find it hard to make finished product.
Although this may be a piece of reason propaganda I think the proof is in the pudding!
Great music and nice to see how he's using software to be creative in his work. I'm an analogue nut but Reason is definitely my choice in the digital world.
I'm opening a can of worms here but in my opinion Reason sonically knocks the socks off anything I've ever created in abelton/logic/cubase.
I've got to know the software well but when producing in tandem with ProTools you've got a killer combo!
@stereodan He doesn't use reason, look at his studio :) He uses hardware synths, using reason and them together would be a nightmare. Sonically? really? Wow! Sorry i have to disagree, i use ableton and logic, but have most other daws installed through working with people and sonically theres not to much reason can boast over any other software. Its defiantly not enough to overcome its massive weaknesses. IE bad audio routing, no outgoing midi, no vsts, au, rtas plugins.
@stereodan reason has warmth for an all-soft based unit... it does. im an avid fl user, logic user as well... but it has something the people at propellerhead have worked tremendous hours to offer the best samples possible to their customers... everything about reason is really nicely done the only thing that reason doesnt have is flexibility and in my opinion, a well-rounded producer on fl studio can end up with better sounds then any reason production if they have good tools and good skills..
@stereodan I agree with you up until a certain point, Protools, urgh! But yeah I just bought a mac with Logic & although you can do loads in Logic, there is something that keeps drawing me back to using reason standalone.
OK, I'm only at 2 minutes into this video. I want to like it. But hearing his vague commentaries like "I checked out Thor a little bit ... I've used it, I think..."
I get that ALL kinds of musicians are using Reason, and they all use different modules in the software., I'm glad it's working for him...
Not carving on Claude, more the editing choices in putting this segment together.
Goes to show that you can get great results from reason with even minimal effort. If you have some talent.
i have mad respect for VonStroke

versuslosangeles83 2 years ago
you'll need an extra program that it's called recycle 2.0. This program converts almost any audio file type to dr.rex
alexandroszou 2 years ago
you should get a program that works with reason called recycle, it simply alows you to make your own rex files which is the only format rex can read.
Alternatively you can download sample packs full of rex files, and you can sometimes find them inluded with music magazines.
Good luck

So basicly he use reason for sequencing & automation.
But he starts with the good polished sounds from his analog gear.
I wonder what synth he used for subbass on "Detroit" tune.
