@vinceocratic Well I know I'm definitely not like that. And the guy on the left wasn't getting instruction, we were all just riding along while the flight instructor on the right was getting familiar with the plane. Please don't put all CFIs in one basket. There are definitely bad instructors out there but we're not all like that.
Sweet aircraft, only wish Diamond would move the Gears lever higher or more to the middle so that pilots with long legs and knobby knees would have less chance to bump the lever by accident on the ground taxing over bumpy taxi ways. I know the lever has a pull and set safety, but you never know.
@Krispygoodness Yes, definitely not the best location, but there's also the squat switch which would inhibit the gear from coming up while on the ground, even if the lever is somehow moved to the "up" position.
Wow! If a shark could fly I think it would look like a DStar Twin. (Well... a shark with a 44 feet of fins!) What a beautiful aircraft, and with the Garmin Main and MFD Nice! God I would love to just sit in one of them once!
Typical flight instructor: overbearing, hands all over everything, control freak and leaving his student unengaged while he plays with everything...
