  • I was so happy when finally I found some chinese embroidery kits for sale online . Is amazing to learn this techique and after I starting working with print silk and silk threats I was in love it. Also is very relaxing because the silk threats are so fine like hair.

  • it's a pity that the chinese rather let this art dies out than teaching them to the foreigner....

  • INERT looking Embroidery. color-wise, shape-wise and depth-wise.

THEY JUST DO THIS occasionally and randomly (specially appointed craftsmen), whereas Nowadays it's All done by machines (looks to me much of it is machine 20th c. work)

SLAVIC Embroidery is LIVELIER colors, shapes, depths & forms DONE by Everyone. EVERYBODY does them, Women as Well some Men. It's EVERYWHERE + FULL of LIFE.

This is just Occasional Flash in the Pan~

  • I'm convinced that Asian people are the most talented artists, but that they rarely ever get credit for it. Italians & other races want to be known as the best. Asians have endless abilities in the fine arts.

  • I get a physical reaction to all great art and

seeing this made me well up with tears.

These photos are beyond words and thank you sharing them. Please tell me what you think of my Chinese silk history book for I would like to know more about

this old book I recieved 15 years ago.

Greetings to you from North Carolina!

  • Is this really embroidery or painting? absolutely phenomenal

  • how??? how do they DO this? this is amazing, i cant' even paint this! lol great vid!

  • well, its a long process. they have to do it with a needle and silk thread. can be up to 7 layers of threads for an excellent quality embroidery. Can take between moths and even up to years PER piece. Thanks for posting a comment!!^-^

  • oh no problem! i don't think embroidery gets the recognition as an art form it deserves, especially something as beautiful as this!
