mali is the country of the greatest singers in west africa for many generations.we can name ali ffarka toure-vieux farka toure -salif keita...and many others.the tribes traditions isist that every tribe must have a poet and a singer...so we have now that woderful result.
Wolof is a language spoken in Senegal, The Gambia, and Mauritania, and is the native language of the ethnic group of the Wolof people. HI RED YOU WERE ACCORDING TO WHAT WIKIPEDIA CONFIRMS QUITE RIGHT
and i was lore or less wrong
but well i knew they speak as principal language BAMBARA in Mali I just thought wronly they also have Wolof speakers there
N' Goron is a rhythm of the Senufo-people that live in Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso It accompanies a dance that marks the end of the virginity of the girls.
i first learned of Amadou and Mariam today and am totally blown away. the most beautifully honest and heartfelt music i've heard in a looong time. words cannot describe the beauty of their music.
This music is good. If you want to add another wonderful african artist, look up Oliver Mtukudzi, Tuku Music... Mabasa and Riongere are awesome songs to get into; slow and fast.
big up to mali. it s a blessing for us to have amadou et mariam. natural talent, best gift ever, both blind and very happy couple. god bless them the lyrics is amazing , help me keep my head above water and survive, stay happy and keep cimbing to d top comme un vrai malien
This outstanding song from the soul has only 6 thousand views and britney spears has over 62 million views... What a superficial world we are living in.... !!!!!!

THEY REMIND ME OF PHILEMON AND BAUKIS....
Amadou & Mariam are a musical duo from Mali, composed of the couple
Amadou Bagayoko (guitar and vocals) (born in Bamako 24 October 1954)
and Mariam Doumbia (vocals) (born in Mali's capital Bamako 15 April
1958). The pair, known as "the blind couple from Mali" met at Mali's
Institute for the Young Blind, and found they shared an interest in
music So HEY All commitment phobics out there
LOOK AT them

I don't think there are any Wolof speakers in Mali. Wolof is in Senegal...Most of the songs are Bambara, but they do others too.
