  • I wish I was Graham Coxon

  • didnt know graham sung this one

  • Coca cola? Puma? What the fuck, are these fucks corporate-sponsored?

  • @twasyourdad but the music is amazing

  • @twasyourdad no,i think they were like real, normal people, like you and me, who used a random shirt with any logo. They didn't care.

  • it is not their best song...live

  • I ♥ Graham :D

  • All Blur are awesome. One of best bands ever.

  • damon is fucking stoned

  • @facuuq they're all pretty stoned man.

  • what a solo

  • the presenter at the end sounds like she came, i don't blame her, i would!!

  • i love his coca cola shirt

  • What a bunch of fucking fannies.

  • @grim0033

Well I'd rather be a fanny than a cock.

  • @grim0033 And your a fanny!!

  • @grim0033 said the prick with no mates & don't know what a fanny looks like

  • like it...mv is kinda odd....milk carton XD

  • muy buenos para jugar con las notas.

asquerosamente malos en vivo eso es porque el estudio los transforma si no, nadie los conocería amo blur en disco .

  • lucky tokyo bastards

  • weirdest solo of all times

  • @capitanrepollo Uh, not really tbh!

  • Coca Cola shirt - classic!

  • grande, excelentes lo màximo!!! BLUR Lima, Perù los adora

  • superr cool

  • wow nice glasses deamon

  • damon.

  • check out "pesticide application" in youtube search....blur and gorillaz songs in the short film....peace!

  • Graham looks sofa king cool.

  • loveeeeeeeeee this song!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LOVE IT!

  • graham rules

  • i hope he doesnt mind at all calling him HPotter cause is really a truly magician;)

  • How does Coxon creates that effect with his guitar.... the one on the solo and at the end... I've never been able to fully figure out. Heavy Distorted Noise Gate?

  • its just a shedload of distortion supplied by his 2 RAT pedals with a Boss Tremolo Pan pedal and for the last bits i'd guess the Boss DD3 delay as well.

  • Sweet...

  • Wow, you're so dumb you can't even create your own idiotic replies, you have to steal them from other morons.

  • i wasn't trying to insult him. and by the way i've noticed his likeness with Harry even before i looked up the comments. Try harder next time retard

  • hahaha! lets all laugh! this band rules dude

  • harry potter.... graham coxon is a freaking genius.... so fuck you!

  • More to the point, how does such a simple organism manage to access the Internet, form opinions and type them almost coherently?

    Medical marvel!

  • en vivo no suenan bien

  • who writes the lyrics, damon or graham?

  • damon and graham write lyrics, for this song graham did.

  • although i think graham should sing it as it is his song you can really see that damons voice is loads stronger

  • they're blurtastic!!!

  • great band!

  • buen tema!

  • Even is Graham is singing on the record, Damon should sing this live and let the backing vocals to Graham as they usually do.

  • no. this is grahams song and he should sing it

  • you're surely right... but it's not as good live as it is on the CD, mostly because of the singing, specially on the choruses. Graham can't really reach the high notes properly. Great song though, musically and lyrically.

  • think don't think damon can sing low as graham and it may sound weird i can't wait till they tour

  • wow i never knew he sang.. same voice damn

  • Harry Potter singing? õo

  • Nooooo, the best guitar in the world. Grahan Coxon!!!!

  • dose Damon do the backing vocals?

  • They all do

  • ales isnt and i've never seen dave

  • Something doesn't sound right at all... Damon's voice maybe??? Don't get me wrong I'ma huge fan of his.

  • I went to the country and the people there tried to hurt me - all because of who i was.

  • what is the effect on the guitar in the solo???

  • Tremolo. Set to fast.

  • nope. its vibrato, boss vb2

  • Thanx. I love it.

  • back together again they are magical. please play twickenham

  • i love it (l)

  • he sounds like me when im down the boozer nearing kick out singing this !

  • He doesn't sound happy singing this at all.

  • the song is about him giving up alcohol and i guess he was depperesed

  • what's going on with damon's voice there? graham's quite shaky at the beginning but damon is just not in tune, is he?

  • he is, actually the tune of voice, a little wirde, and thine, represents the whole song, the seak society and people can get u, the harms that u have to support on every single day when u R different, intelectual, sensitive etc. U know people like them, Like me, Like the good respecfull peolpe

  • well said bubs, i too agree and am also

  • The good old days. I can't the only one who wants to see this sight again.

  • COUFII and tivii. ew

  • where and when was this perfomance???

  • this is arguably the smoothest 'live' performance of this song available on Youtube

  • really? Damon and Graham had a fight? too bad -..-

  • they didnt have a fight at all

  • I never new graham sang this! they both sound quite similar

  • Damon and Graham rocks

too bad they had a fight

  • when did they have a fight?

    what happened?

will blue ever get back together?

  • I think you mean "Blur" not "Blue"!!

Well, after one nasty argument with Damon Albarn, Graham quit Blur in 2003, just before the Think Tank tour...

Ever since, the band has toured with Damon, Dave and Alex, Graham's been making solos. As of 2009, Graham said during a reunion that they won't be making any albums until 2010/11, but theres a very small chance of that happening, since he is still mad at Damon

  • Coxon's vocals are much better now he is singing the whole concert at his solo shows. He wasn't really used to it at this point.

  • I think he sounds better slightly rawer, he is never going to be a great vocalist but he doesn't need to be. His distinctiveness brings him huge strength

  • love the song, and the video is amazing

i remember many years ago i bought the album cause of this song, and i ended up not liking the album, ;)

  • sometimes, the bad singers are the better!

  • he wrote it so he sings it, n hes not THAT bad:P

  • Compared to today 2008 that voice is great.

  • what? compared to 2008? what do you meen?

  • probably meant the lapse in vocal quality with today's wave of "indie" bands who are in fact unoriginal major label shite.

    coxon is the best!

  • i get u. i agree

  • Nor was Albarn in all honesty.

This song would never work without Coxon's vocals, hence it left the live repertoire with him

  • I´m dancing like a little Schoolgirl.

    Nice Voice there Graham

  • this song is fantastic, blur is a good band, when i heard this song for the first time i though they were the red hot chili peppers because the voice in this song is too similar to the anthony kiediss voice especially when the red hot made the one hot minute album chek it out!

  • I really dont think so

  • graham great coxxxon heheheh

  • I love the way that both voices sound together, and the guitar solo is fantastic

  • oasis and blur are both two of the greatest bands ever so theres no point arguing becuase there both the greatest

    long live britpop

  • blur-oasis war?

I thought it was blur-weezer war

  • hahahhahahahahah

  • more like Graham VS River war

    lol

  • great sound of the guitar

  • Blur and Oasis don't have the same sound. All they have in common is that they're British and came out around the same time.

  • i want them back =(

  • Stop that blur-oasis war. please. Oh, and this song rocks

  • its ashame we dont hear anything anymore of him "13" was brillant

  • I could swear he opened the song saying "Do you feel like a chainsaw" not 'chainstore' ? lol

  • I like Graham's singing, it has a naive charm to it.

  • get a life numb nuts

  • fuck you the 13 album is better than two oasis last discs

  • you obviously don't understand anything about rock n roll

  • rock n roll has nothin to do with technical skill. the fact that amazing guitarists like coxon and page have been in huge bands is jus luck, its about spirit and passion.

libertines, classic example, totally shambolic and rough and BEAUTIFUL

  • Gra-ham Gra-ham!

  • this performance illustrates Stephen Malkmus' huge influence on Graham.

  • sorry, i indeed never heard this version in the album before...

Can you tell me which album?

  • you can find this song in 13 or in the best of

  • i never heard graham's voice in this interesing song before~~

    charming voice but i prefer Damon's :)

  • he sings in the recording..

  • well you would expect the lead singer to be a better singer.

  • Well, Graham isn't the lead singer. He's just the guitarist.

  • Yes I know, I was replying to someone's comment who said they thought Damon was the better singer. Graeme's not really a natural singer and only sang lead on a couple of Blur songs. Bloody excellent guitarist though.

  • Oh well, then you're right. I agree.

  • Yeah and it's Graham who's written most of this song.

  • Yes and he's become a pretty good songwriter too, just listen to his last couple of solo records. Coffee and TV seems to me to be a song about him being so disillusioned with Blur. It also was his last full album with Blur. He put his money where his mouth is and left.

  • na it was about him trying to give up the booze

  • Makes sense.

  • damn the bassline is completely different to the album edition. i prefer the album version of it... much more organized/constant structured

  • He does a lot of backing vocals. He also sings lead on You're So Great and co-lead on Tender.

  • i was never a wear he did any singing at all for blur. let along a whole song!

  • reminds me the lil milk box ddancing

  • graham is charming :D

it's really cute, the way he sings it :)

  • I don't think he's a better singer than albarn, but he doesn't do it any bad. Actually singing those low notes is quite hard sometimes, specially when playing that guitar line in the back.

  • I actually think hes a better singer than albern more distinctive! For example listen to Damon's crappy attempt to harmonise on the chorus.

  • How is it crap? If it wasnt for damon, the chorus would be crap.

  • he is sometimes.. but one thing is for sure, he is a very creative guitar player!

  • oh my...he isn't very good singer^^

    But I love him :D

  • Blur are freaking geniuses, I hope Graham decides to come back so they can release another masterpiece.

  • HE IS :)) im so happy :)

  • When? did he?

  • Their making the music right now for their new album. Alex said something along the lines of it making or breaking Blur for good.

    Just looks it up

  • amazing , the guitar sounded real great at some point!

  • I think the Coke logo isn't really 'selling out' since Coke doesn't need to advertise nowadays, it's the most popular drink in the world (even more than water in the developed world eg Europe, America, Australia/New Zealand.

  • thats just one of his shirts... i wore it at a bunch of concerts... its like noobs wearing pink floyd shirts and dont knwo shit about the band. they just like the prism. its kinda like that. :) but yesh its not selling out.

  • whats with the corperate t-shirt graham? Anyway this is a question for those guitar effect experts out there. There is this effect graham uses for his solo in 'Charmless Man'' i can only describe it as a dirty rippin laser like sound. does anyone know how to create it???

  • It might be a flanger (I haven't heard it so I can't be sure).

  • hey cheers for your response
