I have yet to see Dave tap. All this being said, I still give credit to him for being the (semi)lead guitarist and singer. But in terms of vocal presentation, James owns him. However, megadeth does have the better harmonies but that's it. I give megadeth a 9 and metallica a 10. Why else would metallica be the more known band and in the rock and roll HoF?

after comparing the lyrics, i would say that mechanix is in ways better than four horseman. but so is four horseman. 1. james is a better singer and has a better voice (at least back then). 2. lyrics are better on mechanix 3. mechanix is TOO fast (a medium between the two would be better) 4. the extra part on four horseman thats not on mechanix is pretty cool. pretty much it just depends on tastes. if you like just blaring mindless speed, mechanix. but if you like good singing, 4 horsemen
