never worked in a kitchen before have you? In this restaurant, Ramsey is king. He tells the chefs what to do and expects it done to his standards. There's nothing wrong with having high standards and expecting other people to want to put out the best food they can. Any kitchen you work for, the chef runs the place and you do as your told. Many times a sous chef will get his ass handed to him if he doesn't perform properly. Poor cooking = wasted money.

3:25 to 3:47 Ralph has a point, from my experience in the kitchen, I wasn't a chef, but i did work food prepping. anyone with an ego, should never be in the kitchen, you'd get into serious shit with just about everyone not just the chef in charge. every kitchen is run in a certain way, you have to keep it that way, one with an ego or someone like andrew can just cause everything and I mean everything to come down faster than a roller coaster. afterwards, you're not in a good place in the team.

There are even rules about how far a plate should be from the edge of the table and how far the glass should be from the plate. When you go to culinary school to be a chef, you have to take a course in setting tables and working the dining room. It is not that easy.
