I have one of thoes. It still runs if anyone wants it for free hit me up I'm in austin tx if you pull it, its yours plus the tranny just help me lower in the 223ci that came with the truck I will hook it up
Hey people. Just bought a 1964 F100 from some guy who had know idea what engine size was in the truck. He got it from guy in Utah 2 years ago. Anyhow it was cheap so i got it to restor the beauty but now im stumped finding out the model ,size of this engine. Im pretty sure its a 360,but not sure is there a way I can find out for sure. Please help. THANKS
u know how bad that is for the motor having no laybour on the drive line? its so bad for the motor its not funny, having no tension and just reving will fuck your motor.
215 hp/375 foot pounds torque. Lost of cheap add-ons though will push it well though. Try even cheap Dynaflow headers and MSD ignition, you'll be way ahead of factory. Biggest boost is changing the cam to a 390, which is a direct bolt in.
I have a 360 in my truck it has 260,000 miles on it all origional I do want to modify it slightly after the valve job I has just done to it. A quick question what vehicle do you plan on putting this beast motor in?
I was going to put the 360 in a 92 ranger but I changed my mind and sold the ranger. So now I am not quite sure what I am going to do with it now. I am just about finished with the 81 F250 4X4 460V8 project. So who knows what I may do next!
Was a 1975 Camper special. Motor only has 90,000km (Around 56000 miles) I think the valve seals dried out or there is a stuck oil seal ring. It does smoke.

I use to have a 360 in a 73 ford and it was a pretty doggy engine so we put a supercharger and a new cam on it. It was no longer doggy

Thats cool I think I want to bore mine out to a 390 but if moneys tight I guess I need a different plan.
1972FordF100 3 years ago
360's and 390/s have the exact same bore [4.050]....the difference between a 360 and a 390 is stroke
