  • Slap a saddle on that beast, jump on and rev it up!

  • ford motor will hold up

  • Hey people. Just bought a 1964 F100 from some guy who had know idea what engine size was in the truck. He got it from guy in Utah 2 years ago. Anyhow it was cheap so i got it to restor the beauty but now im stumped finding out the model ,size of this engine. Im pretty sure its a 360,but not sure is there a way I can find out for sure. Please help. THANKS

  • get the VIN number off the door and look up the engine code

  • @rgfrm619 its a 292. 65 was when FE's (352,360,390) and 300s came in

  • @OriginalSamsquatch 1958 was the first year for FE dude. Go research it. If I mis read your comment sorry about that.

  • you dont have to bore it just change the crank rods and pistons the bore is the same

  • put a 390 timing chain in it for a 100 bucks

  • i just got a 76' f100 with the 360, i love it, got any low buck upgrade suggestions? besides exhaust.

  • camshaft is a good power booster for around 110-130 bucks

  • u know how bad that is for the motor having no laybour on the drive line? its so bad for the motor its not funny, having no tension and just reving will fuck your motor.

  • if it has a torque converter it has load im afraid you dont understand about engines

  • yes you are right, but if it doesnt have one the comment i rote is correct, and it may be you that doesnt understand engines.

  • i have a 1970 f250 camper special.

same engine. whats the horsepower for a 360ci v8??

  • 215 hp/375 foot pounds torque. Lost of cheap add-ons though will push it well though. Try even cheap Dynaflow headers and MSD ignition, you'll be way ahead of factory. Biggest boost is changing the cam to a 390, which is a direct bolt in.

  • I use to have a 360 in a 73 ford and it was a pretty doggy engine so we put a supercharger and a new cam on it. It was no longer doggy

  • 390 crank, not cam. cam runs the valvetrain. dont worry tho ive made the same mistake

  • while ur revin it up

i'm picturin it in that John Deere lawn tractor, lol

  • Have 2 of them. Need deck bearings in one.

  • @2StrokeBurnOut you could mo some yards with that mother fucker lol

  • I have a 360 in my truck it has 260,000 miles on it all origional I do want to modify it slightly after the valve job I has just done to it. A quick question what vehicle do you plan on putting this beast motor in?

  • I was going to put the 360 in a 92 ranger but I changed my mind and sold the ranger. So now I am not quite sure what I am going to do with it now. I am just about finished with the 81 F250 4X4 460V8 project. So who knows what I may do next!

  • Thats cool I think I want to bore mine out to a 390 but if moneys tight I guess I need a different plan.

  • 360's and 390/s have the exact same bore [4.050]....the difference between a 360 and a 390 is stroke

  • @StevesBeast i have a 360 block on engine stand. i was thinking of puting it in a ranger. After i build it ofcourse

  • Was a 1975 Camper special. Motor only has 90,000km (Around 56000 miles) I think the valve seals dried out or there is a stuck oil seal ring. It does smoke.

  • Wow sounds great what year f100 is it out of????
