Virtua Fighter isnt a bad fighting game, I think personally the only improvements they need are new voice actors, this is the same audio from the N64, Graphics and gameplay are perfectly fine, just have more easy to do combos like in Tekken, lastly (not very neccesary) character creation would be awesome.
Sega needs more advertising of this game... That and a good PR (preferably someone who actually knows how to play the game) to hype this like FilthieRich does for Namco and S-Kill does for Capcom.
One thing I like about the VF series is that the fighting styles match the characters more realistically than Tekken. In Tekken, petite Julia Chang performs power pro-wrestling slam moves just as well as fighters 3 times her size. It's really silly. The kangaroos, bears and sword swinging Yoshimitsu. Why waste valuable fighter slots on the roster with goofy characters?
This really needs to come out for PC. I'm greatful Capcom brought out Super Street Fighter IV but dammit we PC users need Virtua Fighter 5!! I stopped buying consoles when the Dreamcast ended

While Virtua Fighter has the deepest engine out of all of them, they could replace the characters with stick figures & remove the nigh-existent storyline and you'd be none the wiser. Street Fighter/Tekken have simpler play mechanics and the gameplay is not as deep, but their characters are actually characters, with dynamic appearances, solid personalities and overall distinguishable substance.

Plus, it's 3D atmosphere while SF vs Tekken is 2D concept, so both are entirely different to be compared, though both are based on fighting game. @dragonps people like that are the fanboys. i play both VF AND Tekken. i love Tekken 6, but there's not even close to as much technicality or depth in the fighting engine of that game. in VF, no matter who you use, you can counter any attack. with Tekken, one juggle could mean a loss. also, Tekken doesn't take actual weight of fighters into account. you can juggle anyone with anyone, whether it's Lili vs. Asuka or Lili vs. Bob.
