He sure demonstrates the strategy of playing speed round.......
after a few words ring in, because Perry says a few more words before he calls on contestant. That permits contestant to hear more of the question before he has to answer. If host stopped speaking the instant a guy rang in, the guy might not be able to piece together the question.
@SaleGuy Though I heard that Mark DeCarlo was the closest to lose everything, because he won by default in a tie-breaker when his opponent answered incorrectly.
I remember him from then and of couse i saw Curtis Warren on Greed too! Before i got internet access,i have sent letters to former TTD champions and did hear from Two of them:Bobby Panzarella and Bobby Forbes. Thanks for sharing! Brainy
The production staff did attempt to find Curtis Warren, the wild hair guy who won more than $1.4 million on Greed, but Curtis has opted for a lower profile since his rich victory.
I can't get over how he knew each and every one of those questions but didn't know the capital of Indiana, which has "INDIANA" in its own name. Even my brother knows the capital is Indianapolis.
Curtis Warren is the man!!!! I remeber watching this on the old WBNX channel 55 at 6:30 (after Tic Tac Dough) in the evening when it was still an independent station.
You know something...I never put the two together until now. I watched his run on SOTC and he was just stupid ridiculous. He also did win $410,000 his first time out on Greed and he won $1 million in the "Million Dollar Moment" his second go around on Greed. The only contestant to do it, I think.
Funny, when he was on $ale, Curtis looked more like Butch Hartman (creator of The Fairly Odd Parents and Danny Phantom). But we, of course, remember him very well for looking like Rod Stewart on Greed.
The total for Curtis on SOTC is $136,288 which should include: a car, 6 prizes valued between $2500 and $15,000, $63,000 in cash, plus any instant bargains, sale surprises, fame game, instant cash, or main game winnings he obtained (the latter set I'm not sure of, but the total should be accurate according to a couple different websites)
did anyone ever finish with a negative total on SoTC? (Only cause elaine is pretty close, its making me curious)

Is it true that everyone who attempted the 11th game won the $50,000 in the WB format?
nextbarker 2 years ago
Yes, although Mark DeCarlo came perilously close to losing, as you can see elsewhere on YT.
WhatsAYak 2 years ago
Every player who went for the $50K won, and they kept all of the WB prizes!

No, they're not. If you look at his Million Dollar Moment video from Greed, he is married to a different woman then.
