How the hell could they help? The hyenas or the giraffe could so easily have killed them. Her baby wouldn't have walked even if the people did interfere and eventually die from starvation which would've been even worse for it.

The people filming this are ANIMAL DOCUMENTARY specialists. Their role is to show us what happens daily in the wild when we're all not looking. It may not be pretty, but it is the natural order of things.

For you to suggest that they shoot the giraffe or put it in a zoo is absolutely ludicrous. Should all animal documentary crews do this? We'd get no footage, and all the zoos would be packed, and the plains would ring with cameramen gunfire!
