Don't run into something like that. Let them keep fighting each other & call for additional units for crowd control. They're better to manage when they're beat up & tired. Or get back to a safe distance & let your OC spray go into the melee. And ALWAYS be mindful of weapons retention & who's in close proximity to you.

Everyone on youtube thinks they have the answers to everything. Yes there are something these Police Explorers could have done better but they will be able to watch the video and learn from their mistakes. Not by listening to morons like rockspimp yell @ them over the internet.

People learn from their mistakes. It's better to make a mistake in training than in a real life situation, that's why we have training to begin with. Not everyone can be as perfect as you w/o training.

I just gave a good tip; I told the Explorers to get a good Triple Retention Holster if they don't know how to keep the weapon secure. that's a good start

The explorers seem to have handled themselves well but I will say that they did make a few life threatening mistakes....but hopefully they can learn from them before making mistakes like that on a real call.

watch the gun guy in the left corner of video! Don't want to aim it at another officer. Maybe it is simulating a tazer? Also, someone should have done something about the guy assaulting the officers earlier. He was hitting one officer in the back and eventually moved onto another who pushed him away but I saw no further action being done to him...at least not for a while. Anyway, wish we had that many explorers

This scenario was done to get involvement from ALL of the actors and to show how things can get out of control very quickly in this type of environment. Pepper spray would have worked well in this scenario.
