That may be your experience, but most of the anti-drug war individuals I meet are opposed to it because they know it's a political cancer, not because they just want to get high and fuck around. They want to save billions by lowering imprisonment rates, and then to invest in a new industry which would be worth billions in itself, one which would only be as harmful as the alcohol or tobacco industries which already exist.
