  • Modern NBA lacks this magic (and Magic too). Modern-day players may be more physical, etc, but look at that passion, unbelievable!

  • Larry Bird looks like a bird.

  • Larry Bird = Legend!

  • Only missing the big steal.

  • Larry bird's better than Kobe

  • Bird was so far ahead of every player on the court mentally, he'd be diving for a ball and while he was in the air he'd be thinking who he was gonna pass it to.

  • I think people don't think he's the best only because hes white but i think (think not say it is) he is the best player the league has ever seen

  • most fun player to watch

  • No righthander was ever better with his left hand.

  • mj, larry bird, magic

  • *course

  • @alZiiHardstyles of couse he could!

  • Could he dunk?

  • @alZiiHardstylez -at 6'9" Yeah

  • Larry bird is an awesome basketball player!

  • at 1:38 Larry's like "in your face....BITCH!"

  • LARRY!LARRY!LARRY!

  • Larry Bird was an evil man! I lost thousands of dollars betting against him in the 80s! That stunt he pulled against the Pistons in '87 cost me a vintage 1969 Camaro SS! It was in cherry condition, original paint job, a gorgeous rig! To this day, I still cry myself to sleep thinking about that car...

  • HAHA the guy wanted to hi five him but when he put up his hand the dude ran away

  • @BlaZiiNxllxGuNn3R both MJ's

  • larry bird did it again!!, he did it again!!! 2:24

  • one of the best players ever and best white basketball player ever:)

  • The Steal has to be within the top 2, why is it not on the top 10 list????

  • does Larry Bird know how to do a crossover? if not its even more amazing he became a legend without one

  • @XChronicHash Legends Like Larry Bird and Magic Johnson were so good They Didn't need Crossovers. they made Assists that made defenders players Look like Jackasses

  • it's too bad Larry's back gave out on him...maybe a couple more titles if he was healthy, but we'll never know.

  • That last shot. . Even 2k doesn't allow those.

  • And yet The Steal is not on this list. Something is definitely amiss here...

  • thumbs up if you are a celtics fan!

  • he should release a shoe brand called GRAVITY BIRD

  • Larry bird: Where amazing happened

  • number one is the best dis dude swich hands while he was in the air an throw it up

  • Too bad he gets overlooked because he's white.

  • fricken AWESOME

  • Larry Bird was simply born to show us how should we play basketball.

  • Greatest white basketball player!!

  • Great video, however the steal from the ECF against Detroit on May 26th 1987 is prob. number 1.

  • Love larry bird although a sixer player but love his skills

  • Larry Bird has eyes in the back of his head!!! He was unreal! Loved watching him play, he was a real super star!!

  • TO BE HONEST, YOU YANKS ARE ALL SO RACIST SUPRISED YOU DONT LIKE HIM BECAUSE HES WHITE. BLACKS IS THIS TRUE?

  • AINT BEING FUNNY BUT I WATCHED ALL OF MJ. KOBE BRYANTS AND LEBRON JAMES HIGHLIGHTS TO THE END BUT I STOPED WATCHING THIS HALFWAY ITS PRETTY BORING

  • @klook HA WOT A SHIT COMMENT, SORT UR LIFE OUT SON.

  • I was born in 1992. I am pissed off at my ancestors for not hurrying up so I could see him play. :/

  • wtf is this larry bird hahah lebron is better then him kobe his is way better then him n i cant believe tht mj looked up to this guy coz his shit but i dont blame him coz back in the days people didnt play basketball that much so every 1 that had a bit of skills and could shot a little was amazing cuz if u put some one like dwyane wade back in doss days we would be the second best of all time

  • @aristoteb93 You don't know basketball mane if you think that the 80's/90's was worse in terms of talent the NBA had...you don't like basketball you like dunks...

  • @aristoteb93 What a fucking moron for 1 Wade and Kobe play in a watered down league where centers cant camp in the lane and handchecking is not allowed.Basically trying to defend a player 1 on 1 is impossible.Bird is one of the most if not the most clutch player to play the game Jordan may be better in the clutch.Wade and Kobe will never ever be in the same pantheon of the likes of Jordan,Magic,Bird. And Lebron is a fucking choke artist

  • 0:16 Johnson #3 puts hand up for hi-5 but when Larry Bird #33 is about to slap he puts hand down and runs LOL

  • the best shooter ever

  • Comment removed

  • Basketball's Bobby Orr

  • take one of them out and put the steal against the Pistons as #1 or #2

  • where's the larry bird's steal???

  • @jkh970325 Now there's a steal by Bird ... passed to DJ and he laid it up and IN.

  • :16 High-five fail

  • He has the coolest looking shot of all

  • the secret of Larry Bird is that he eats lots of Donuts...

cause honestly he looks like an american Cop with that mustache LOL!

excellent player of course. :D bet he told the players "you're under arrest".

  • Thumbs up if you know that Larry bird is way more clutch than kobe :D

  • @BlaZiiNxIIxGuNn3R i'm a die hard celtic fan.. but i have a respect toward the lakers. The comment should have been, Thumbs up if you know that Larry Bird is way more clutch than Lebron.

  • @ngaotw123 lol lebron is not clutch at all.. im a lebron fan btw -__- but hes the perfect SUPPORT player not "the guy"

  • @ngaotw123 Also kobe is great in the clutch, but hes nowhere near Mr Larry legend or MJ.

  • @BlaZiiNxIIxGuNn3R agree 100 %

  • @BlaZiiNxIIxGuNn3R duh his Black

  • @BlaZiiNxIIxGuNn3R yeah sure

  • @BlaZiiNxIIxGuNn3R but i believe larry is better than mj

  • MJ23 is the GOAT

  • Larry Bird was the greatest player ever between the years 1979 and 1986, before injuries started slowing him down. During that period he won the MVP 3 times, won the NBA championship 3 times and was hands down the best player in the league. He had amazing hand eye coordination for his size and is arguably the best deep shooter ever. His sense of timing in all aspects of the game is the best ever. For all-around skills, the best ever. In short, he's the best player ever.

  • @hooperqi his sense of timing was impeccable! He wasn't much of a lockdown defender because of his lack of athleticism, but he wreaked havoc in those passing lases because of his timing. Larry is one of those guys who made you wonder how he could do the things that he could do.

  • @CookieWalka Yeah, it makes you wonder until you consider his many gifts: soft shooting touch from anywhere on the court, great timing in all phases of the game, quick hands, extreme will to win, tough as nails, phenomenal vision and skill as a passer, the ability to slow the game down which lead to the nickname Bill Fitch gave him: Kodack, to name a few. Then consider all this loaded into a 6'9" frame which was unprecedented before he entered the league. He made everybody better too...not bad.

  • @hooperqi

I agree by the slightest of margins...because if we encompass the entire 80's a case could be made for KAJ,Magic,Dr J or even Moses Malone. But I still like Larry above anyone else in the 80's....Jordan in the 90's and Duncan in 2000's

  • @hooperqi i agree with everything except the best allt-time deep shooter. i give much respect for larry but the best deep shooter is hands down ray allen

  • @hooperqi Let's not forget he won Rookie of the Year and made 1st Team NBA every year between 79' and 86'. He also made 1st Team NBA in the two seasons following. Neither Magic nor Michael did that. Magic didn't make 1st Team until his 3rd or 4th year and Jordan not until his 3rd. In addition, bet. 79' and 86' he was runner-up to the MVP award an amazing 3 times(aside from winning it 3 times). He was also the NCAA College Player of the Year in 1979...in short, he's the best player ever!!!

  • @Seaverful Great points! In addition, Larry's rookie season marked the biggest turnaround for a team in NBA history when the Celtics went from last to first - that's how great his impact was on not only the Celtics, but the NBA as well. I could go on...

  • @hooperqi They went from 29 wins to 61 wins....He did that with the exact same roster from the prior season with the exception of Bob McAdoo.....now that's greatness!!!!!

  • @Seaverful It was a somewhat similar situation at Indiana St. - Larry took a middle of the pack mid - major team to a 33 - 0 record until they faced a Michigan St. team that was loaded with NBA talent in Magic, Sam Vincent, and Greg Kelser. Larry was willing to do what it took to win at any level whether it be rebounding, passing, shooting, leadership, etc... and willed his teams to greatness.

  • @hooperqi That's why he's the best ever!!!

  • @hooperqi Larry Legend was great, but nobody tops MJ. MJ had it all. The individual accomplishments, the skills, the defense, and the titles. He dominates everybody in all the areas that count. No player has even come close. Sorry.

  • @zombiefood87 MJ is good, but overrated. Larry Bird sacrificed a lot in his playing days & had outstanding leadership. He was the best trash talking NBA player, too and he knew how to back them all up. Cocky, yet he knew how to back himself up.

  • @hooperqi dont get ahead of your self. MJ is the greatest ever.

  • @hooperqi Uhh aren't you forgetting someone?

  • nice bird !

  • the steal against the Pistons isn't on here?

  • NUMBA 33.....LARRY LEGEND!!

  • best white play who ever played the game

  • i'm suprised that family guy hasn't mentioned anything about Larry Bird

  • @Kalkas53 ~ lol, you mean ba bird, ba ba ba bird bird bird?

  • @tomitstube bird is the word!

  • I've come to appreciate Bird alot in recent years. He wasn't the quickest or strongest. But he was intelligent, humble, and unselfish. He was the consummate team player. That's why he has the rings.

  • 3:01 Bill Walton going Ham

  • Put him against Dirk!:-D

  • best white basketballer

  • @Wheretheshowgoesdown *best basketball player ever

  • Number 1. He caught it with his right hand fading out of bounds and switched to his left hand and shot.

  • so weird to see a white guy dominating everyone in the NBA compared to it now.

  • Was expecting the Pistons play to be # 1 as well. I was at the Garden that night for that play, and am still amazed when i see it!!!

  • That was a playoff play first rnd iirc

  • What happened to his shot from behind the backboard? I mean litetally behind the backboard.

  • @QuebolaQuebolin Playoff Plays.

  • #1 was spectacular! Gave me chills.

  • mj over larry bird hell tim duncan over larry bird all bird could do was shoot at crucial time

  • 2:03 - 2:07 EPIC!

  • Kevin mchale, robert parish, larry bird. Those three killed ALL!!!

  • Larry the LEGEND!!!!

  • Larry is GOAT not mj he sucks when you compare him with bird ;)

  • and who said white people cant ball? but yea,we cant dance.

  • I love how a lot of these are great assists, steals and shots and not just crazy flashy dunks like you'd normally see

  • the best team players: Bird, Nash, Kidd, Christie, Maverich

  • @itsGerace35

I agree with all these players except for Christie. What about John Stockton or Magic?

  • Os americanos para mim tem o basquete mais bonito do mundo!!!!!

  • Esse cara era espetacular!!!!!!!Afff muito bom.....

  • Livin like larry

  • WHERE'S BIRD TO DJ?!?!?

  • sure the one time Larry Bird misses a shot he still ended up scoring and making it look nice

  • michael jordan is the best of all time but larry and magic are the best too

  • He ain't the best of all time, but damn he is sick with it.

  • @triassictriops wtf do u consider nowitkzi's skin colour ?

  • the best white shooter of all time, but nowitkzki wants to replace it with his name.

  • Make it the Top 11 Ever and add his steal against Isiah!!!

  • The NBA is rigged...

  • Where's the 85 Pistons steal?

  • Larry Bird was probably the most determined guy ever on a court

  • LAKERS CHAMPIONS 2011 ONWARDS. KOBE BRYANT GOAT > MJ > BIRD. MVP 2011-2012

  • If Bird is a basketball player today's players what ?

  • larry is a legend but MJ is the word legend himself

  • whats the name of the song at number 4?

  • Comment removed

  • I have release like Larry's :D

  • Larry Legend!!!!

  • Best player of all time. But what about his game winning buzzer beating steal and assist to DJ against the Pistons? I was expecting that to be number one. I'm shocked it wasn't even on here.

  • @TheKnrumsey , That, and also he made a series clinching steal against the 76ers in the 85 eastern conf finals, there were alot more too

  • @TheKnrumsey still gt nothing on jordan and magic

  • @TheKnrumsey Couldn't have said it better myself.

  • Celtics used to be led by a White man. Now, it's just all Africans.

  • @NickEppo two white men. Dont forget about McHale.

  • @NickEppo You mean they were led by an American and they're still led by Americans..

  • @hautelick No, I meant what I meant.

  • @NickEppo Oh, right. I get it. You're just happy to be incorrect/full of shit.

  • @hautelick You're on to judge my mood. You don't even know me, and you go ahead and start telling me I'm happy. Get your punkass self off of Youtube.

  • @NickEppo Okay, suffice to say you're just wrong. The majority of the sqaud, the leaders of that squad and the captain of that squad are Americans. Not 'Africans'.

Africa is a continent, by the way; you can't be citizen of 'Africa'.

They're American citizens. Americans; just like Larry Bird.

  • @hautelick Oh my god, just shut the fuck up. Kevin Garnet and Ray, Rajon, and more are black. Black people were originated from Africa. Therefore, Celtics is full of Africans. God dam.

  • @NickEppo Just because they are black it doesn't mean they are African. If they were born in America, then they are American. You don't have to be white to be American. Take example of Canada as well, Canada is a culturally diverse country (like America but more-so). Look at Rajon Rondo and you say he's American, but when you say Hakeem Olajuwon you say Congo (Africa) because he was born there. It's all about where you were born, or we could say nobody is American except the native americans.

  • @KenjiDDT Shut yo punkass up, who the fuck you think you is? Ain't nobody talkin to yo punkass.

  • @NickEppo You know I'm right.

  • @NickEppo Nice grammar buddy.

  • @ccc6cccx6 The internet ain't for no nerds. It's for everybody, so shut yo shext up.

  • @KenjiDDT olajuwon was born in nigeria

  • @leprkorn Sorry, my bad. Still it's still NOT Nigeria, USA... It's Nigeria, Africa

  • @KenjiDDT right so its only fair to see a person with east asian appearance and talks very american and not be surprised that he is american.

  • @keverinkarama It's not surprising at all. There are SO many different cultures in America that just about anybody could have been born in America. If he talks like an american (With an american accent) then yeah, I'm not surprised. Nationality is up to the person, but when I think nationality I think birthright. I was born here, so therefor I belong to that country. Who you think you are is what you identify yourself as. I identify myself as Canadian although I'm Vietnamese.

  • wow nr 1 is so sick.....

  • im slightly better than larry bird..... everyone around my town thinks so. Ill be fresh on the scene in a couple years and will be the greatest player to ever have lived (most likely). nobody can stop my drive and i never miss. I have moves and passes nobody's ever seen before. iam the steel.... i am the one.

  • @WanderleiSilva29 you must be dirk nowitzki but hes in the league already haha jk wish you luck

  • @WanderleiSilva29 ha how drunk were you when you posted that?

  • @WanderleiSilva29 You're a poor, delusional screwhead.

  • If anyone is wondering this list was an special of great playoff moments. The Larry Bird Steal was featured in another list.

  • I recently had an argument with my uncle and father. They *claim* that the #1 play was a putback finger roll/scoop. I say that the motion was more similar to that of a floater. Which one was it?

  • @XenaphobiX finger roll. period.

  • Chuck Norris can't guard Larry Bird. Hold on, theres someone at my door.

  • @DNSRizvi61241 LOL best comment on youtube

  • Larry didn't play the small/power forward position, Larry played basketball !!

  • @Btam25 wtkdfljaklgjls;ajfk you made my mind flip out are you fucking stupid?

  • Wheres the game 5 steal against Detroit?

  • @Btam25 You have got to be fucking kidding me.....

  • @Btam25 Are you just saying that because of the playoffs?

  • @Btam25

I have been a Dirk fan for all my life (NOT A BANDWAGON) and Dirk may have scored more points than Bird, but at the end of the day, as much as I hate saying this, I have to give credit where credit is due. Dirk<Bird. Dirk has potential to make it Dirk=Bird, but he's gonna have to play real hard the next 2 season to make that happen.

  • larry looks like the old guy from saw ^^

  • @reedeema no, the old guy from saw looks like larry bird. ;)

  • @reedeema sorry my bad ^^

  • Are you kidding?? Are you serious?? The steal isn't in the top 10??? Fuck this list.
