  • I want this video on my Genie Sport unit.

  • TBH I don't think aliens would look at us as idiots. Children perhaps, but not idiots. Because they emerged from the same physical properties that we have emerged from. So they probably knew the same problems. If anything I think they'll smile and say ah-ah : Infancy.

  • 5,000,000,000 years from now u wuld be long dead and life wuld evolve into a rocket and fly to other planets lol sounds stupid yet life cannot be contained no matter how hard things r thrown in it's way aslong as it has time on it's side anything is possible and yet we take animals everyday of our life 4 granted asif it's nothing how sad r some people

  • lol planet of the idiots it's already is

  • Just another charasmatic scientific materialist who through elegant rhetoric and fanciful pictures captures peoples imagination into thinking they are not special the earth is not special nothing is special. Be careful of the twisted/twisting logic it only leads to confusion and through confusion comes manipulation.

  • @platoscave911 I really hope you are a troll. It would sadden me if somebody could look into our current body of knowledge and conclude (only) that we aren't special. We are, but not in the way we first made ourselves out to be.

  • We are nameless in the eyes of the universe, bound by the weight of a rock, thrown in the chaos of life, trapped in the knowledge of light from galaxy to galaxy. We are Earths history and forever in its debt.

  • Somewhat ironic theme song towards this video (The Fountain Soundtrack produced by Clint mansel. The fountain is also one of my favorite movies). Anyways, Carl Sagan is probably my most favorite person. Ever. Pity we do not have more people like him now.

  • Carl Sagan makes science the magical, amazing thing again that I thought it was when I was a kid.

  • Am I the only one who felt it necessary to reach out & grab the passing Earth as he says, "...and they will know nothing of a place once called Earth."

Just a momentary flash of sentimentality mixed with sadness, I guess. Not so much covetousness, but a wee bit of misery knowing that our gem of a planet won't always be here.

    :-\

  • I hope this is shown to generations to follow.

Inspire then to reach for the stars.

  • this should be in discovery channel

  • So, basically, he's saying that we need to acknowledge that we are nothing, compared to that vastness of the universe? Because the last part, about our branching point didn't seem to match what he had been saying. Granted I agree, and that it's up to our generation to correct the mistakes of our predecessors. Only by moving forward, and seeing each other not by race, gender, sexuality, religion nor by where we come from, will we ever move forward as a species.

  • @Mysterbyg The ending was in contrast to the rest of the video: although we are so small and meaningless in a universe so vast, we are still big and meaningful on the planet we occupy, and it is up to us to make the best of our existence.

  • the song is by Clint Mansell. It's on "The Fountain" soundtrack

  • Back then, the lights in the sky were the TV. We need to change the channel and look up occasionally. Even after we are all voted off the island the space channel will always be there. “wink”

  • The 'How to trick people into thinking you're good looking' video - 30 million views, 'The Carl Sagan Tribute Series' videos all around the 100k mark, we truly live on 'the planet of the idiots' ...

  • @N4SONIC

I love Carl Sagan...but I must say, if there's one thing that ruins his videos it's the comments of some of his smug fans.

Don't be such a fucking snob. You aren't better than anyone because you have a 3 digit IQ. It's perfectly natural and okay to be concerned with getting laid. Even Carl liked to smoke a little dope, slick his hair back and go pussy hunting on a Friday night.

Stop sniffing your own farts and talking with your eyes closed.

  • @jackiedegracia Actually, since 100 is by definition the average IQ, you ARE technically more intelligent that others if you have a 3 digit IQ (assuming that IQ tests are reliable tests of intelligence, of course). Just saying.

  • Carl Sagan might not have single-handedly changed my beliefs about religion, but it helped greatly that he understood how arrogance is a part of human nature. I wasn't the only one misguided by a "reassuring fable". It's normal to want to believe that the universe was made just for us. Human pride can bring about incredible self-deceit.

  • 4:32 infuriates and disappoints me. Just another reminder among the myriad of how pathetic and conceited we can be... And, surprisingly, I practiced those same dogmatic beliefs.

Carl Sagan will live forever in my mind as a friend who saved me from my arrogant, conceited, and zealous theist ideology and Biblical credence -- one who reached out with the hand of enlightenment and pulled me to safety from the tumultuous, torrential, pandemonious waters of dangerous unreason and pathetic folly.

  • @Elena9525 Your second paragraph is beautifully poetic. It is also so very true. Carl Sagan has done the same for many. I am definately one of those whom he has reached out to and saved.

  • @Elena9525 Well said! I too was once so dogmatically inclined. Grateful now, that I am not.

  • Thank you Carl

  • lol @ liam neeson @ 1:40

  • Have my babies, Carl. ;_;

  • I honestly teared up listening to this.

  • This playlist should be a requirement in every school.....

  • @gskowal No, seriously they really should. Schools teach some interesting facts found through science, but they do not explain the significance of it.

  • @gskowal playlist?

  • @Veto2090 , yes, playlist, series, whatever you want to name it... There should be a CARL SAGAN class.. lol

  • If only there was a Carl Sagan for every theist extremist. This world would be much better.

  • I am continually inspired by the wisdom of this man. Professor, I wish I could have had the honor of knowing you.

  • Together We Will Live Forever

  • Carl Sagan was the man his words are just so inspiring he dares us all to dream and do better for our selves

  • Oh how desperately this world needs people like Sagan.

  • Universe wasn't designed for humans. Humans designed themselves, uncounsciously, to the universe.

  • Carl Sagan is the only man / woman that can actually make me cry.

  • 14 dislikes..really..?

  • @Muusicca Christians have access to the internet aswell

  • @Muusicca mind limit religion ... dont forget my friend

  • Try explaining this to some people... it would be useless.

Some people just prefer to think about earth and nothing else... why? simply cuz its frightening to think otherwise!

  • Sorry I got sucked into leaving these comments, but I had to respond to this guy.

  • Pt.4) Contrary to what you say, I've never used one swear word in my comments, "or" cussed at you..but if you read "your" comments, you'll see that they're filled with swear words and resentment.

My response to you, is based on what you've said to me, and others..I call it as I see it, and I simply spoke the truth, as to what I see in your heart, and on your channel..you care nothing of others.

Unfortunately, you live in your own "very" small world, filled with nothing but hate, toward others.

  • @MnktoDave

My very small world consist of billions of galaxies each with billions of stars. My small world is almost 14 billions year old, perhaps just one of the infinite numbers of 14 billion year old worlds.

Your world is a world in which the most powerful, the perfect, the most benevolent being in the universe sends two bears to murder 42 children for the crimes of calling his pet prophet bald. (2 Kings 2:23-25)

Do you realize just HOW SMALL YOUR WORLD IS?

  • @d3st88 Pt.1) I do not think our world is the center of the universe...in fact, I do believe that life exists elsewhere..somewhere. After all, why "would" we be the only life in all the universe? It may seem a bit contrary to the basic teachings of most current religions, but even if God "did" create life here..the stars, the universe, and all the galaxies, etc...what's to say he would not have created life elsewhere? If God is the ultimate creator, then he is also the one who created the whole

  • @MnktoDave

If god is the ultimate creator.. who the fuck created god? And that guy? And that guy? And that guy? And that guy? And that guy? And that guy? And that guy? And that guy? And that guy? And that guy? And that guy? And that guy? And that guy? And that guy? And that guy? And that guy? And that guy? And that guy? And that guy? And that guy? And that guy? And that guy? And that guy? And that guy? And that guy? And that guy? And that guy? And that guy? And that guy? And that guy?

  • @d3st88 Pt.2) concept/cycle of evolution, and it simply follows his natural process of things. Life can still evolve, through a traditional evolutionary process. Even if you believe in the "big bang" theory of creation, it is still an unproven theory...just like religion...and what created the stars that caused the big bang in the first place? Did they just "appear" out of knowhere?...I find that every bit as hard to believe, as you find religion hard to believe.

  • @MnktoDave

"the big bang" theory of creation is not up to one to believe. It is FACT. It is proven many ways. There is little to no doubt that the big bang did happen almost 14 billion years ago. What was before that? We don't know for sure. In one of CallumCGLP's videos Carl Sagan talks about this (The edge of forever).

Personally, I find the infinite number of big bangs thing the most plausible, but I'm a layman.

  • @MnktoDave

Also, the star formation thing is largely established science. I'm sure you can grab an article on Google or a book or something on our current view on star formation.

Also, just because we do not know something, or are not sure about something it doesn't mean that you can throw up your arms and shout "GODDIDIT". That phenomenon is called the god of the gaps. A few millennia ago, things as simple and widely known nowadays as the tides were attributed to the gods.

  • @d3st88 Pt.3) I guess in the end, we are all left with a personal "choice"...religion is all about "believing"...that's why they call it "faith"...and that's why God has put many choices and temptations before all of us, as we go through life...it is a test of character, and human nature.

In the end, if there is no such thing as religion, then I have lost nothing, yet still derived all the comforts of my faith. But if there "is" religion, then you will look quite foolish standing before God,

  • @MnktoDave

We must NOT be left with personal choices. We must learn that the "universe does not conform to our preferences". And things we want to believe without proof are often wrong. One of the most noble thing to do, when we are confronted with question we cannot answer is to say "I don't know... Yet." That's what scientist do. Religion goes "GODDIDIT, I BELIEVE IT. THAT SETTLES IT, BYE".

  • @MnktoDave

Pascal's Wager is a million times over refuted argument. When I first heard it I was about ten, I think and even then I could figure out the pitfalls of it.

You see, there are an enormous number of gods and each of these gods usually come with a hell and heaven, a valhalla or an elysium or underworld or something.

  • @MnktoDave

Surely, if you woship the christian god and the greeks were right then you better have your loved ones put a coin into your mouth at your funeral so you'll be able to pay the ferryman his fee. I heard swimming is a bitch in the Erebus.

  • @MnktoDave

If you are, say, a catholic christian, but turns out the protestants were right.. I'm afraid you are going to hell. Even if your god is the right god and your church is the right church of that god.. what about doctrines and commandments? Is your christian god the one who considers masturbating a sin or not? Does he condemn you to hell for wearing clothes from mixed threads or not? Do you live him better than your wife and kids and family or not?

  • @MnktoDave

Have you ever murdered your children for being disobedient? Because you should've. It says so in the bible. I'm certain you didn't kill your neighbors who worked on the sabbath. Would you marry your daughter to her rapist? Because it says so in the bible. All in all, I'm afraid you haven't been a very good christian. And that's only 1 religion out of the millions. I'm afraid all odds are against you getting into heaven.

  • @d3st88 Pt.4) trying to explain why you fought so hard, to believe he does "not" exist.

If there is nothing to religion, please explain why so many of the Revelation prophecies have, and are still, coming true..I'd like to think that we can believe in both religion "and" science, without dismissing either..it is our choice.

Carl Sagan was a "great" man...had a very profound way of looking at things, a very poetic way of voicing his opinions and his science...and he left us with a great legacy!

  • @MnktoDave

I did not ever fight religion. I'm "blessed" with an intellect that made it possible to always see the logical pitfalls behind religions and I was fortunate enough to read an awful lot of books as a kid and find answers to my questions. I never needed fairy tales to explain nature. I always wanted to know the best answer possible.

  • @MnktoDave

Surely, you must know that the bible was written over a long period of time with an agenda. It was written so that it fulfilled itself. You could easily write a book like that. The revelations are also vague, they also fail and they are no proof, by any standard for anything.

I'm afraid scientific knowledge and logic is so pervasive that you cannot stick with supernaturalist religions without going against science and logic.

  • Pt.3) As far as hatred goes, there is no hate here...not even toward you.

I made a simple comment, and you felt you had to attack me for it. You could not resist yet another attempt to insult and demean someone you don't even know, and that truly shows your real nature, and your small character..which is also evidenced by all the negative comments on your channel...the numbers don't lie, and neither do their remarks...a real testament to you!

I'd say you're the one that's filled with hate.

  • Comment removed

  • Pt.2) You yourself, said that this debate was "stupid", yet you continue to try and push your atheist beliefs on the rest of us...I could care less "what" you believe. For whatever reason, you have chosen to severely admonish anyone who believes in "any" kind of religion...by resorting to name calling, and portraying them all, as "fanatics"...or saying that God does not exist. Your opinion doesn't automatically make you right...nor does mine. Difference is, I'm not pushing my beliefs in any way.

  • @MnktoDave

Atheism is not a belief. If you'd know the first thing about theology I wouldn't have to mention that for you.

I'm not pushing beliefs, I merely expect that people live in the real world, not some makebelieve, evil bullshit.

  • Pt.1) I am hardly a religious fanatic, but I do have my own beliefs about religion, and I am not afraid to express them...although I am not using these comment pages to "push" my opinions on others, as you are. Nothing I have said, expresses my opinions on religion, in any way...I simply asked to enjoy this wonderful video for what it is, and keep a separation between science and religion.

  • @MnktoDave

    Cool.

I merely pointed out that the idea of separating religion and science on the comment section of a video that urges people to think how ridiculous religion is and how science is the way to go when we want to explain our circumstances is funny.

  • Religious people....they're fucking mental.

  • @callumCGLP I seriously love you for take some of my favorite scores and accompanying them with the intellect of Carl Sagan.

  • Why are you people ruining this beautiful video and these comment pages, with all your stupid bickering?

Please...just enjoy the video...and the wonderful poetry of his speech and knowledge.

We all have our own feelings on religion, but this is NOT the place to voice them!

  • @MnktoDave

Oh surely, Carl Sagan's words shredding religion are not debate starters at all, aye?

People like you are hindering the discussion of the topic and the progress of this stupid debate, so if you don't like it just quietly crawl back to your cave.

  • @d3st88 You are sooo elequant with your words...just one look at your channel, and it's easy to see...over 110 channel comments, mostly stating that you're simply a rude, arrogant, self centered and obnoxious asshole, that derives great pleasure out of insulting and demeaning others.

Why all the hate?...you must truly live a miserable, self centered life, to want to insult so many people so often....

Anyone who looks at your channel and goes through the comments, can see this for themselves.

  • @MnktoDave

*Eloquent, my love. This Hungarian who never studied English says hi.

Also, the hatred is coming from you. It is your brain's response to the facts that hurt your superstition. Your whole life was built around a lie, your family, your friends, your community, your belief in an afterlife and everything else. It's only natural that your mind can't handle well anything that goes against this lie.

Thus, your cussing doesn't make me feel anything.

  • @MnktoDave

Also. Reality is not a popularity contest. Just because you see an awful lot of idiotic comments against me on my wall it doesn't mean they are right. The people who left them are people like you and worse: fanatics of xtianity, islam, racist shitballs, nationalist fuckbags and such.

  • @d3st88 By the way, I want you to know...all my previous comments are directed toward you, and your remarks...I simply forgot to hit the "reply" button to you.

I have nothing to hide, and am sure you will have the last word...just remember..."No matter what one's position might be on evolution, there should always be room at the table for divergent viewpoints..."

As Albert Einstein recognized..."The important thing, is not to stop questioning."

  • @MnktoDave

No. There is no room for divergent opinions. There is reality and that's it. If you are not intellectually honest, or curious enough to investigate what evolution is about (because it's fucking easy to get the gist of it) then you are some fucking fraud, a snakeoilsalesman, an idiot and you should have no say in matters concerning politics, education, health and things like that.

Reality does NOT bend to your preferences.

  • @d3st88 You say we must have "no" personal choice, as to our beliefs of creation...and anyone who believes in religion should have "no say" in matters concerning politics, education, health, and things like that...

Talk about "control"...where do you get off?

What gives "you" the right to even "think" of censoring other people's beliefs, ideas, and their decision making abilities, based on faith?...or "your" ideas?...get real!

...lol...oh, and by the way, God is omnipotent...heheheh...

  • @MnktoDave

    christian train of thought:

    1. stick to dogma

    2. ignore all criticism, do not address any of it

    3. AHAHAH, MY GOD HAS AN EIGHT INCH PENIS AHAHAHAHAHA

    4. ???

    5. Profit.

    Well done, kiddo. Well done.

  • @d3st88 I don't know what things are like in Hungary, but thank goodness in America, we have a little something called the First Amendment...and as former Supreme Court Justice Hugo Black recognized, "The very reason for the First Amendment is to make the people of this country free to think, speak, write and worship as they wish, not as the Government commands"...(or as you might wish, desire, or command).

You are free to think as you choose, but not to dictate policy that would control others.

  • I was working at the movies last night and some old creepy guy started talking to me about God and the revelations. He scared me! How could people be so arrogant as to believing these special stories that have been made up. Use your brain people, don't religion blind you from reality. Unless your a pussy and need comfort and approval by some figment in your imagination to keep you going through life.

  • Oh no...oh for fuck sake! this piece of shit makes your blood boil! if aliens would think we're a planet full of idiots...then they're a planet full of pompus, vile, evil discusting vermin! how dare this bastard talk about religion like this! this twat should had died the moment he opened his arrogant mouth! would'nt be suprised if he was satan himself.....evil vile creature probably gobbing off about this sort of shite to aliens i'm sure they'd get along fine, they're both satan children!

  • @NobDickBalls !

Religious people say that we are at the center,God created us in his image, and everything was created for us.

Scientist say we evolved from apes and we are a useless piece of dusts and metal.

So who is arrogant and idiotically?

  • @rsexplorer20 Alien demons are the arrogant idiotic fucks you pile of shit!

How dare you,you fucking bastard! WE ARE NOT RELATED TO APES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The thought of that makes me vomit don't get me started on Darwin.....hes a piece of crap that is in hell with Sagan! primates are vile creatures...then again they are gods children that are grateful for what god gave them! Aliens will get their throats slashed if they dare contact earth..evil!

  • @NobDickBalls All religions are arrogant and idiotic!

    They bring suffering !

Science will be the only one alive at the end!

  • @rsexplorer20

Hahahahaahaha ! Science ! Hahahaahahahaha ! What else am I going to read ! Svience ! Hahahaahaha !

  • @NobDickBalls There is undeniable proof that we share common ancestry with the chimpanzees. Chromosome 2 presents very strong evidence in favor of the common descent of humans and other apes. Look up "Ken Miller on Human Evolution here on YouTube to get a better explanation.

  • No shoutout to Pythagoras' heliocentrism? Carl, I am somewhat disappointed...

  • This is indeed great work, sir. Keep working and you'll be remembered. Thank you.

  • Thank you, Callum. Thank you, Carl. Thank you for opening our eyes. I hope people continue to see the works of the late great, Carl Sagan.

  • Now that I have three children I cant wait to share the dvd series Cosmos with them so that they may perhaps but a glimmer of the fascination I had for his every spoken word. Someone wrote he is immortal and I agree...he will never be forgotten.

  • We all miss you, Carl. Thank you for everything!

  • Whoever put that piano in the background sucks-a-lot

  • man!!!!!! if anything his words gives our life more meaning than any bible or religion.carl thank you for being the first one to speak words that truley freed me to live and die as a real human with eyes that are for seeing and not judging.

  • any creationist that sais that an atheist like carl cant have morals or a soul or spirit should listen to the man. this is nothing more then epic poetry, he spits more logic and reason then just about anyone who has ever walked the earth in a way that even the most common person can understand.

  • Oh Carl... I miss you. =/

  • He is immortal. We won't forget his wisdom. Pass it on to the next generation. Like witchcraft and other past religions that now lie in the graveyard of mythology Science will eventually send the current religions to that same graveyard. Hopefully at some point humans can focus our energy on the real important questions rather than live in false fantasies created by probably well meaning but yet still very ignorant people 2000 years ago. Religions are nothing but failed attempts at Science.

  • Lol I love the top rated comments :D

And Carl Sagan is my inspiration even though I am stuck in business school :(

  • @LOLMAOable lol I'm on the same position as you. Carl is a great inspiration for me. Right now I'm finishing my business mayor, but everytime I see Carl speak I wish I could be an astrophysics, but yet I still love my business career, so instead, I decide I will use Carl's inspiration and give my best to make this world better. :)

  • @rayyvnzla Lol that's good I never thought about so I'll just try to love my business school even though it's as boring as watching paint dry lol.

  • This man should have been immortal.

  • When I die

I don't wanna go to heaven nor Hell......

I want to Travel the Universe....

  • Comment removed

  • @freedomland11 Wow I never thought of that. You kick ass freedomland11

  • @freedomland11 You will. When you died your atom is recycled and help future generation species, until our sun died as well. The sun will blasted the top layers of our earth, in which your atom is rested, into space. They will travel far into space for eon. Possibly some of them will ended up on another planet to nurture more life. In some way or another, you will travel the universe. =D

  • @WaiWu..Thank you my friend. That is poetry right there :).. So we will live forever..

  • @WaiWu that just complete my day

  • @WaiWu not if you hit antimatter

  • @WaiWu More than one atom makes up a person. When the sun dies, it'll to a lot more than just blast the top layers of the Earth. You won't travel the universe because 'your atom' will have been incinerated a lot with most of the planet Earth by the dieing sun.

  • @dexluther No. A lot of atoms WILL be broken down by the destruction of the Sun, but that matter doesn't just go away - it becomes energy.

So, to reiterate, yes, parts of you WILL travel the cosmos, in some form or another.

  • @WaiWu if you think about it, you might of traveled the universe already too :D atoms from other planets may be within you

  • such eloquence cannot be matched by any archaic dogma.

  • This is beautiful.

  • Carl, I salute you sir.

  • My FAVORITE, hands down.

  • Sagan, you're fucking brilliant.

  • Far out Carls got some awesome eyebrows :-P I wonder if his voice was the inspiration for agent Smith in the matrix...

  • @74torana It was actually i thought the same thing and did some research:)

  • You've made something really beautiful here!

    thankyou

  • isthis carl sagan who speaks

  • @IBuddyH yams

  • There is no god but Carl Sagan, and Dawkins is his prophet

  • @DarkLordoftheMeme Dawkin's is an idiot. Too smug and aggressive towards religion.

  • @grannies2armpits I think he is actually the opposite of an idiot. That is simply his take on combating religion, and it works for a lot of people. Sometimes you have to actually hit people across the head instead of smothering them in kindness.

  • @nosehairmcsmarty

"Sometimes you have to actually hit people across the head instead of smothering them in kindness."

Yup. That's what worked with me. It wasn't Dawkins specifically for me, but vitriolic and *correct* attacks against the ideas I held made me embarrassed to hold them, so I had to get rid of them.

I just got a Master's in CS w/ concentration Bioinformatics, and I'll start an MS in Biotechnology soon, and I have aggressive scientists like Dawkins and PZ Myers to thank for that.

  • Carl, you're my hero. If I were a girl, and had met yourself t a young age, I would have fallen for you. That sounds gay, but it's true. RIP Mr. Sagan. Your videos, way with words, and undeniable sincerity and dedication for what you do has brought me to tears. You've been there for me when my Christian friends weren't. You've inspired me to continue to pursue a career in astrophysics. And most importantly, you've shown me that science is more beautiful than religion could ever hope to be.

  • 12 people who don't understand what the pale blue dot is disliked this video.

    I find it truly inspiring.

  • If there is a GOD, then surly he is talking through Carl. RIP U inspire mankind.

  • @metalbandsrule Boy: "Daddy, Daddy, why is the grass green?"

    Dad: "God made it green"

Boy: "I just searched Google and it says the pigments in Chlorophyll used for Photosynthesis is the reason why it's green"

Dad: "No, God made it green! There is no other way!"

Boy: "I put that answer in my test today"

Dad: "Good boy! Do not question God!"

  • @metalbandsrule

    That was rather disgusting.

  • @metalbandsrule There is no God.

  • @DerrenBrown100 U misunderstand me...I was holding Carl to the status of Godliness, due to his enlightment of humanity. Not that there is such a thing as a God.

  • @DerrenBrown100 U misunderstand. The point being made was to hold Carl's name and words in the same realm of Godliness. Of course I know there is no evidence to support the man made claim of God's exsistence.

  • @metalbandsrule There is no god. It was all Carl. Don't belittle his words by saying they were not his own

  • @WX5PJB "IF" means "IF".... In case you don't understand my intent. It's like a joke...If I have to explain the joke..then the joke loses it's meaning...Same goes for my post. Your arguing with an Atheist..in case u don't know.

  • People really need to stop confusing pantheism with atheism.

  • The world is lessened by the passing of this man. For Carl.

  • Preposterous! We'll become connected with at least enough extraterrestrial lives to for the Federation in a scant 200 years. Everyone knows that.

  • A child can imagine more amazing concepts greater than the concept of a god.

  • is this carl speaking? in the video?

  • @TheMikeyR Yes

  • This is beautiful.

  • love u atheists

  • @Atheist961 Love you too :)

  • I was watching "The Today Show"(News) and they were giving a 15minute rant of "The jersey shore: going to Italy"..I actually unplugged my TV and put it in my closet, because now a days, ONLY the internet and books are the educators :)

Hi my name is Winter and I'm a student of NYU!!

Carl Sagan is one DEEP dude! Thank you callum :)

  • @freedomland11 I agree? I've stopped watching my television. Yesterday, I bought two A level psychology books from the local book store simply to read up on where curret pschychologists have got with studies into the mind. We are the next generation, we can make the change, we may not know one another, and may never know one another at all, but our goal is the same. A better world.

  • Carl talked about all religions. Not just Christianity. This man was brilliant. We are LOST without opening our eyes like he did.

  • These are just awesome, so well put together. Wish Carl Sagan was still with us today....

  • Great video and great tribute to Carl. These pieces are available from his audiobook Pale Blue Dot. That said, if you want to be fair, you should focus on ALL religions and not just Christianity. This is a great video but is unfairly biased in that it omits, or doesn't focus as much on Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, and Hinduism in addition to Christianity.

  • these are wonderful, thank you
