I agree with you Shahid. Very true. Thats probably the class difference which makes it more prominent. But in most of the cases it seems that this is not the 'prominence by default', its rather intended prominence :)

nice cow mashaAllah, but I hate the way ppl show off their qurbanis.... Looks so damn cheap that they expose their animals to ppl around and try to gather their compliments rather than focusing on obtaining Allah's blessings... Such a great ritual being being spoiled by cheap show-off tactics.... Did Hazrat Ibrahim went out declaring loud about what he was going to perform when he took his son for the great sacrifice ?

I totally agree with u, but brother, kindly bear this in mind that most of our religious rituals hav mixed with our local culture,but i also might add it that ppl shud not buy these animals to compete with others, u might not know how much 1 earns and tends to `qurban`

actually the diff of earning and class diff makes these things more prominent.
