LOL at 5:01 "No Left Turn; No how the hell is the train going to make a left hand turn?" LOL Great video I see you guys also do "Clear on my side" we say that on our ALCO when we run long hood forward
Awesome video man! I got to ride in the cab of their Opertation Lifesaver special in NJ. It was an amazing experience, I would imagine yours was the same!
@CSX2665 The switch in the beginning goes to a chemical plant. According to the trainmaster that is still an active customer, but the track is rough back there.
@ARandall70 it was a question out of curiousity, that switch track, isnt that the track that crosses US 70?..if so then this guy named david younts told me about it...he said the tracks are in very crappy condition and that sometimes the conductor has to manually flag traffic because the [US 70] crossing signals sometimes dont work very good due to track conditions & that they put a "shitload" of gauge rods...
@ARandall70 yea like i said it was a question out of curiosity,me and david were friends but we seem to be like worse enemies now...because he blocked me on facebook and then up here...
What do you do for OL. To get to ride the OLS. As I have been thinking of joining SCOL, and if one of the benefits is the OLS, I'll join in a heart beat. From the railfan side of me. Great video
@webecomets At this time im not a OL Presenter, I just assist our state director at our Raleigh office. I've computerized all of the records NCOL and help with organization and distribution of educational flyers and posters and other things we send out to the presenters so they can spread the message. Its a great organization, you should join.
@ARandall70 Thank you for telling me. I think I'll try to get something like what you do. As I may be a actor, and I can memorize things. But my real strength is planning. I get told in my area, you hire me or my sister, as we are the best in the business. So I think I will join. Thanks for the info. You know where SC is based
@webecomets Im not sure about SCOL, but I found this volunteer position through the NCOL monthly newsletter. If SCOL has one it may have the contact information you need. There is no "standard" postion for what I do everywhere. Our state director just requested part time help and I responded. In addition to being around trains a few times, its something I can put on my resume as I continue through college at NC State.
@ARandall70 Nice, I was thinking it would help mine too. For my high school one. I think I could do it. I'll have to see, thanks so much for all the info

@CSX2665 Yeah, its the spur that crosses US70 at grade. E14 switches it as needed. David Younts is a friend of mine and was running this train.
