The only reason you didn't win this, is because Herman Li can't (or won't, not sure which lol) recognize tasteful phrasing with non-metal roots. By far THEE best entry to this contest, and the most talented player who gave it a go. Not to mention your playing is cleaner, more tasteful, and yet still more technical than Li's, and you could smoke him from a compositional standpoint.

ok, first off herman li doesnt suck, hes actually an amazing guitar player, second, the reasons why daniel won and damjan lost are pretty obvious

1 damjan is using a string dampener, now im not against that, but thats gotta cost you some points in a competition like this

2 daniels flow is amazing, and so is damjans, but i felt like daniel had more control, of course thats just my opinion

3 daniel had a whole melody written for the track, and really made it stand out in the solo

@mastemas666 actually if you look at some of they're recent live videos they are a LOT better. even when i saw them in reading last year, it was easily as good as when i went to see motorhead. they dont get pissed before each concert like they did back in 2006, they've cut down on all the bloody computer effects in their newer albums and they have far better gear and soundkit than they used to.
