I have no issues with people's not liking her - we all hear differently and put different emphasis on different aspects. But you are insulting everyone who likes her. Besides, you may criticize her in coloratura roles, but this is operetta, and she does it perfectly (IMHO).

But yet again - we are living in a time when opera is not that popular as before. So being good singer, actor and looking good she became quite popular. So when a producer is deciding whom to choose for a role in not that often performed opera, he/she usually chooses a popular one. And that is perhaps why Netrebko has roles in her repertuar which are not that suitable for her voice.

She is great here, and I like her acting almost everytime I see her. though I don't think her voice is something spesial - just ordinary soprano, not light, not "young" soprano which is of a high demand for roles of Butterfly and Gilda. But she is a very good singer, nothing bothers me when I'm listening to her. I suppose many are bothered with her for taking roles for which her voice is not suitable enough - some coloratura for instance.
