How come it takes years and years for people to become very skilled at martial arts, and yet these Marines can come and learn it in a few weeks? They can't, they learn quick, essential thinks that have the highest chance of working in the time they're given. You think the MCMAP is the best martial art in the world!!? It's a quick assortment of techniques from other martial arts which do not require a big ammount of skill to pull off,.

@BreastsInspector Dude,Bruce lee was an actor,yes was very good at martial arts but no not the best...not even close to the best,a true Muay Thai fighter would kill him,Jet Li would kill him,Tony Jaa would kill him,so would Steven Seagal,look at how he's hitting people,they are holding their hands down and waiting to be hit,real combat isn't like that at all,iv'e be training Muay Thai for 7 years and i can see this,any *TRULY* trained fighter would know real combat doesn't just come to you

@JarHeadSniper927 bullshit real combat does come to you I know kids that would probaly murk u without training at all,Bruce Lee did train by the way he made his own martial art that would comprise of other martial arts and what was needed,real street fighting not competitionmuay thai is training for competition.In a real fight u get tooken down pounded on the ground

@561brucelee lol by you name your a bruce lee FAN....he couldn't fight on the ground..he didn't know any ground arts...and look at his movies...when he strikes the people drop their hands just so he can hit them in the head to make it look like he is bad ass and can hit you at will....sorry but Muay Thai is not just a sport...if you knew the history of it and trained like i do in it...it would by far devastate Bruce....bruce is ok,but MA is much more advanced than 30 years ago,learn and apply

@poorashit I know its a movie,just too many people take it seriously and believe that he could really take on 20 men at once,who are trained fighters.He in reality would get his ass beat by an average Mauy thai,Karate,TKD,Kung fu fighters...if he was as great as people think he is then his scenes wouldn't be played in fast forward and he wouldn't be in movies,a true martial artist doesn't seek glory.Plus Muay Thai Does ALOT of clinch work and can go to the ground,im a Blue belt in BJJ.

@poorashit And my apologies...i realize it is easy for anyone to say they are a black belt in both Karate and in Muay Thai,and have a blue belt in BJJ,id love to post vids but someone i know fucked up my 200$ camera...i was actually gonna do alot of tips type posts on here until the day i decided to go camping and let 4 girls use my camera for something...left it in the rain...so now i look like someone just saying they know something with no proof...all apologies to you guys

@JarHeadSniper927 ya im a fan of course if ur not ur just a simple asshole whos hating on sum1 who did nothing but make himself form rags to riches,and duh its a freaking movie their supposed to,and by the way have u read bruces book?it has ground techniques all in it ,also I believe bruce could hit u at will his hand speed is practically unmatched.Dont act like im a jackass when it comess to mma.Muay Thai was used in wars long ago and alot of techniques are outlawed because of their deadliness

@561brucelee you haven't proved anything,yes im a fan of Bruce,but i hate when people treat him like he's close to great,if he was he wouldnt ever be in a movie,a self respecting Martial artist wouldnt do that,and i dont do just modern Muay Thai i do Muay Boran also,yes bruce would hit me alot,he would not hit me at will,the end result would be me standing at the end though,i will never disrespect him but i'll never look up to him as God,and his movies were in fastforward dude,it's very obvious

@561brucelee But why the hell am i arguing with a guy who has probably never even taken a martial arts class,i'll of course see things you wont in his fighting,im waisting my time.....to much spare time on my hands,oh and no he wasn't efficient on the ground,he would get killed with ease by a man trained in BJJ...and even worse if he had to fight a US Marine,or any military member at that...they are the real trained killers,i'll be enlisting next year btw,so convo over about bruce lee bull shit

@561brucelee yeah,Marines are as bad ass as they are trained,all of them,if you were on the street NOT the ring,he would have killed you,literally in under 5seconds,they are trained to kill and kill fast,and no,you never knocked one out.Bruce is a movie legend not a martial arts legend,so cool to see how many bruce lee fans get all sad when you just tell the truth about him.lol you guys are jokes,stop looking at him as a legend and actually look up to the real creators,the Shaolin monks or so.

@JarHeadSniper927 I hope that when you enlist they knock some sense into you. watch some actual footage of Lee from exhibitions, and such. People waiting for a 'hit' in a movie? I'd wait for the 'hit' instead of risking being hit by Lee, too. You talk too much about something you can never be called on to prove... Lastly, just because you have a high belt doesn't mean you are bad ass, anymore than having a degree means you're smart. classroom skill -vs- practical application.

@Tynzen And sorry to prove you wrong but belt progression comes with experience,meaning you will be more skilled,now some do have better natural fighting instinct than others,not to mention i am undefeated in the 24 fights iv'e fought in kickboxing,BUT since nobody has that classroom skill here to read what iv'e said,i said i'm not going to disrespect him,i am a fan,but he's not even close to my idol,i idolize men who would kill him in under 5seconds,like Shaolin monks,Muay Boran guys,ETC

bull, it looks like you're a US Marines fanboy. A Marine's prime job is using a gun, they don't get much time to practice armed combat, that's why they go on crash courses, which tell them simple things which can kill, and are likely to work against the similarly, or the enemy soldiers. They're usually buff guys . Bruce practiced every day for years, and had been fighting since he very young. He's conditioned his body to be effective as a fighter. u think a marinecould win?

@MrCujo956 I have trained in martial arts for years also,and by the way you talk you have not,dont play,we all know you with you even knew how to spell martial arts,oh btw,JKD is NOT in MCMAP,so learn your facts,Shotokan Karate,Muay Thai,BJJ,and some other arts are used in MCMAP,i just happen to be learning Shotokan karate,one of the worlds deadliest arts,and if you dont think so,take it to Japan and say it to the millions that train it in their military.
