Yeah, mine dried out after two days, and the weight area on one side shattered a week later. The thing practically began falling apart right out of the package. It's nice that you had a good experience with yours, but mine was shit. So I assume anyone else's mileage will vary. One tip:

Don't be cracking this around like a regular butterfly knife. It's made of plastic, and the rings holding the weights in are unexpectedly fragile. If you're anything aside from gentle they WILL shatter on you.

@mYsYph as far as I'm aware, you can get new ink cartridges for the pen. It's made by Fisher (the company that makes space pens) and they sell refills for their pens. You just have to unscrew the tip the right way to get the ink cartridge out then you can replace it.
