The holy triangle of tanks is fire power, armour and mobility. This thing trades the first two for the last and it still can't outrun bullets, which is what it would need to be doing.

Did they even test for endurece of the vechicle. Its only good for joy riding.
@2cire4nosslin Tt wasn't developed as a troop carrier of any sort. They were developed to be autonomous counterparts to humvee packs able to keep up over any terrain. They are going to be a lot faster than a humvee over rough terrain and would fit excellently in forward scouting roles. A production model would not be much more vulnerable than a humvee to RPG fire, and its a lot cheaper to lose an autonomous vehicle to an IED or anti tank mine than a loaded Humvee.

a diesel motor would make this A LOT more capable..with a motor like that...especially with a carburetor, water presents a hazard, mud, extreme angles, etc..
with a diesel..it's EXTREMELY easy to waterproof one...LOTS more power and torque..yea that motor has 650hp..but it probably has about 700ft lbs of torque (which is what gets you moving) with a diesel it could have 400hp and 1000lb ft of torque...wouldn't have to worry about the angles either :)

It is just really annoying when it sounds like someone is listening to loud music down the hall of an apartment building while trying to watch a video.
But consider what it is though. It was designed for the military, went on one of the fastest tanks of the era, and was a design so good it lasted on till the end of the war.
Combined with a better engine and other mentionables it haaaas to be better.
Besides, the Ripsaw tops out at what, 55mph? The stuart based one does better. And can straight up drive through several buildings whereas the ripsaw got caught on a rotting shack.

I think that red truck broke it's body mounts when it hits that pit at 1:06. Look at the gap between the grill and the front bumber open when the shocks rebound. I wonder if they didn't go and borrow it for a "test-drive" for an hour or so. Why pay $500 for a truck to beat the shit out of when you can just borrow it. a diesel motor would make this A LOT more capable..with a motor like that...especially with a carburetor, water presents a hazard, mud, extreme angles, etc..
with a diesel..it's EXTREMELY easy to waterproof one...LOTS more power and torque..yea that motor has 650hp..but it probably has about 700ft lbs of torque (which is what gets you moving) with a diesel it could have 400hp and 1000lb ft of torque...wouldn't have to worry about the angles either :)

Comparing this thing to a $500.00 pos is like comparing a trophy truck to a Datsun. Atleast make it somewhat realistic show it's suspension vs something that has more then 6 inchs of travel. Great toy none the less just saying kinda shitty vehicles to compare it to.

and im sure you can ask them, for a small fee, to put some armor on there theyve done it with the little Badger tank

But consider what it is though. It was designed for the military, went on one of the fastest tanks of the era, and was a design so good it lasted on till the end of the war.
Combined with a better engine and other mentionables it haaaas to be better.
Besides, the Ripsaw tops out at what, 55mph? The stuart based one does better. And can straight up drive through several buildings whereas the ripsaw got caught on a rotting shack.

I think that red truck broke it's body mounts when it hits that pit at 1:06. Look at the gap between the grill and the front bumber open when the shocks rebound. I wonder if they didn't go and borrow it for a "test-drive" for an hour or so. Why pay $500 for a truck to beat the shit out of when you can just borrow it. Then again, maybe they just promised to let the owner ride in Ripsaw for a litle while if they could use his truck.
