"Un voleur solitaire est triste à nourrir" is hard to translate... There's a pun! "Triste à mourir" is an expression which litteraly means "sad to die". Someone who is "triste à mourrir" is really REALLY sad. But here, they replaced "mourir" (to die) by "nourrir" (to eat).
Guys it's really strange. I live in Paris and the only thing i want to do is speak english like you and go in city like New York. And you only want to speak french and visite Paris. And i think i'm not the only one to think like this...
i saw ratatouille in disneyland at the AMC theater when it was released in theaters, and now everytime i hear this song i can't help but think of disneyland

If you are a Camille's fan, then you have the possibility to go into her life and her talent on this third of december at 4 o'clock in the afternoon on France Culture, a french radio. She will be interviewed on the broadcasting named Movimento. But don't worry if you miss it there is a podcast !
@NYChustlin you are looking for an arguement now,just because you want to be a twat,dont drag me into your shit. im going to be the better man and stop this.
@bandofbrothers122 no I just dont like you saying something insulting with nothing to back it up. If you were the better man you would not have said something insulting towards the french in the comments of a french song...
@bandofbrothers122 do you know lots of french ? every contry inhabitants are seen by the others with "stéréotypes" (i don't know the english word). Americans, English, Italians and French of course. But is it always reality ? ask that to yourself before doing affirmatives sentences ;) if it's right, don't you think that the world need arrogants people ? in a company, it's very important to have it. But i like that you're honest :)
At the beginning of the video, I was like ''what's this song? It seems bad''.. but immediatly when I heard the voice, I thought ''WOW I LOVE THAT!!!!'' :D
Life... Never will I be told That the race for stars is not for me Let me amaze you, let me fly At last we can enjoy our meal The feast is at last about to start Bring out the bottles; worries are over I'm setting up the table of my new life I am happy to the idea of this new fate A life spent hiding, and them I am free The banquet is on my way A life spent hiding, and them I am free The banquet is on my way...
Sooooo I read someone tried to translate the French lyrics into English and it was horrible, lots of mistakes, so here's mine: Lovers' dreams are like good wine They can give either joy or sorrow Weakened by hunger, I am miserable Stealing everything I can on my way Because nothing is free in life Hope is like a dish eaten too fast To skipping meals am I used A lonesome thief is sad to feed To such a sour game I can't succeed Because nothing is free in..
@PenafilmStudios Anyone can cook. But I realize that only now do I truly understand what he meant. Not everyone can become a great artist, but a great artist can come from anywhere. Thats what he meant.
In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face is that, in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is more meaningful than our criticism designating it so.
@jericoferrari55 That's probably the greatest thing I've ever seen in the comments section on this website. I wish more people realize what you just said. Or rather, what you commented ..."a week ago"
But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the new. Last night, I experienced something new, an extraordinary meal from a singularly unexpected source. To say that both the meal and its maker have challenged my preconceptions is a gross understatement. They have rocked me to my core. In the past,
I have made no secret of my disdain for Chef Gusteau's famous motto: Anyone can cook. But I realize that only now do I truly understand what he meant. Not everyone can become a great artist, but a great artist can come from anywhere. It is difficult to imagine more humble origins than those of the genius now cooking at Gusteau's, who is, in this critic's opinion, nothing less than the finest chef in France. I will be returning to Gusteau's soon, hungry for more.
@killerwolfchild look, I'm almost glad they didn't. It's a peculiar movie not everyone would like. Heck even my sister was bored with it, and I was like "Wtf?It's so beautiful"
@Rind0Man go for it man!
