  • The Master

  • No matter what you say, he's been in the business for 30 years so nevertheless he has to do good job.

I guess that every tool he sharpens, it's probably sharp as hell. Due the fact that he's pro.

  • @Virranvarsi I've been sharpening for many years and trust me doing it for years doesn't mean your good. Lots of customers don't care if its done good. I have seen coworkers destroy saws, scissors and paper knifes an customers not only didn't complain a lot of the time, but actually came back time and time again!

  • There are a lot of ways to sharpen scissors. I prefer a bench grinder with a diamond wheel. It leaves a very smooth surface and is not quick to heat. The problem with 30 years of experience is that better techniques come along and you can get left behind if you don't keep up.

  • Willy jest z Polski :d pozdro Willy

  • why are people flipping out on all these videos theres a million freaken ways to sharpen everything so take a chill pill I dont want to hear you ass holes bitching while im learning!!!

  • @13irishsailors Yeah, go ahead and learn wrong.

  • thanks, I had another go at sharpening my scissors with a kitchen steel (for knives) and this time it worked !

  • This guy has probably forgotten more about his craft than all the haters will ever know. The customers would let them know if he was not doing things right.

  • Quality scissors have a screw keeping the 2 sides together for a reason - so you can unscrew it to properly sharpen the cutting edges, stupid.

  • @byblosadvocate You don't need to to fully access the edge for sharpening, stupid. Make your own instructional video if you think you are the expert and know better. This guy has been doing it for years and he has learnt to do it in seconds. Time is money.

  • canubelieve canubelieve believes this man actualy says 20to30 years every time DOH

  • i need one of those. i have flat scissors and im in the process of making my own shuriken out of them. i cant shape the metal with a sharpening stone unless i do it for hours on end without stopping. is there any other way i can shave off pices of metal with household objects?

  • I am very impressed with the variety of tools these guys have, there uses and how they can remember it all at there age right off the top of their heads.

  • netkravler, He has been sharpening tools for 30 years. How long have you been sharpening?

I'll bet that if you track Willy down and ask him about your tempering concern, he may know something that you have overlooked.

My point: He is in practice. That counts for alot.

  • woodsprout...LOL he hasn't been sharpening tools for 30 years. He's been doing it for 'twennyfivethirtyyears'. If he can't even be definite about that then it seems he has been hacking for twennyfivethirtyyears and ruining the temper on the tools he sharpens all those years. So how long has he been ruining peoples tools? 25 years or 30?

  • Perhaps you could be a little less judgmental about this man. If he is not using the best methods, there may be a story behind it. Not all people get paid well to do their best work, or are they provided with the best equipment. ..and for various reasons people get stuck in jobs.

  • @woodsprout but has he been sharpening the same tools for 30 years? If he only sharpens each tool once or twice, no one knows what the long-term effects are.

  • @BeeyondNeptoon, Why don't you ask him, I don't know.

  • I am a native of Campeche, Mexico and I am sharpening the tools, I am interested in purchasing a machine sharpener acme, as you do.

  • Soy nativo de Campeche Mexico y me dedico al afilado de herramientas, estoy interesado en adquirir una maquina afiladora acme, como le hago.

  • Thank you.

He is a real expert who knows what he is doing.

  • @mysunnydays2009 - you gotta be fucking kidding

  • I greatly appreciate! I'm going to have to see if I can get a small wheel. I have a hugh bag of grandmothers shears from dress making, all vintage, stainless steal...not like the crap they sell these days. A little sharpening is all they need. I refuse to throw away...would be very stupid & very expensive these days to replace. The only thing I can do with the scissors I bought is throw them away, no adjusting skrew, made with cheap plastic handels, and mystery metal...just total junk! Thx

  • pfft, because every one has a fucking stone wheel right? or a cdex ehh..hmm

  • igornat bastard

  • dude, this guy is a professional. If you want to sharpen your weed chopping scissors you will need a fine file and then just copy where he grinded with the wheel. Once done lightly file the other side to remove excess, remember to only file one way and do that closing trick that he did at the end...

Don't give this guy a hard time because he is showing you how its properly done. If everyone could do it he wound't have a job. So think before you be a keyboard warrior mate.

  • chill

  • would you fuck off ass hole..the message is over 1month old, so stop commenting on it fucking idiot..

  • touchy : )

  • well ur being a fucking idiot..

  • aww you want me to be nicer?

  • Oooo.... I wanna go sharpen my scissors now!! All I need is that big wheel spinny thingy.

  • ooh yeah!
