  • ron benson worked for mary miles minter but later left the employment

  • Bull. There is no proof Taylor ever had affairs with men.

  • IMO, Mary killed him in a despondent fit.

  • Fascinating! And Cahill was sharp as a tack for being 100.

  • Cahill = HAWT. I'd hit it.

  • Mary Miles Minter didn't end up in an old folks home, broke and sick. She was financially comfortable due to 1. smart investments by her mother, Charlotte Shelby, and 2. later real estate deals with her husband.

  • This guy is very smart for an 100yrs old

  • Charlotte Shelby paid off the Losangeles DA's not o bring this case to trial. She used all of MMM's money and thats why MMM ended up in a old folks home broke and sick

  • Charlotte Shelby shot WDT. She htought she was losing control of her daughter who at the time was making one million dollars a year

  • MMM got a raw deal, the studio used the ensuing scandal to rope in her salary demands and poor behavior. she was never a legitimate suspect

  • I don't think that there was any conclusive evidence that Mr Taylor was gay.,

  • fantastic! Though I'm not a silent movie films buff, I've always been fascinated by William Desmond Taylor's death. Interesting interview, thanks for the uploading.

  • Awesome to hear tales of the scandals involving early Hollywood and its personalities

  • This is great!

  • Brilliant to see this - nice one!

  • This is great - wish we could see all of it!

  • Good stuff! Thanks...can we see more?

  • This video is part of a 10-12 minute segment on the NBC news magazine show "1986," shown in June 1986. It started off with Connie Chung walking into a black and white photo of the crime scene, a pretty good visual effect for the time, then went onto the details of Taylor's murder and what happened to Minter and her mother after the murder.

  • @2gerrytwo Thank you for the information. Would you happen to know where anymore video info on WDT can be found?

    Thank you :)

  • This is a terrific piece of Hollywood History. I wish it was longer!

Can you tell me where this came from? Is there more?

    Thanks
