Some people complain about the recoil of the FAL.... Apparently those people have never shot 40 or so 180gr rounds from a .30-06 or .300 RUM. Excellent rifle mate, I'm currently saving for a SA58 OSW with the 13" barrel.

Does yours have the alloy lower? Optics are a problem on the FAL design. They just aren't part of the original concept. I have a SUIT scope on my L1A1 the height of early 1950's general issue optics. Heavy and clunky.

the FAL is more a sniper than a battle rifle because it's super accurate and reliable but it only has one problem the recoil is so high but still a good gun
