hey lorraine i really like the way that u are help black ladys to grow there hair can i am a single mother and i really dont have money like that to be going to the hair styles i have 6 kids one little girl that i want to grow back my hair and her as well so i am going to do as u say and treat both our hair cause right now my hair is breaking and i dont want to cut it i want to see if i can get it back up before i do antthing to it so if u can tell me want i am doing wrong tell me now please
I'm kind of ashamed to say this I have 2 girls one is almost 2 the other is 5 I have no clue as to which products to use in their hair. I recently purchased africa's best organics detangler mositurer and shampoo. Are those good products also what would you recommend to use as a deep conditioner. My youngest her hair is thin and curly kink.
just wanna say i love your tutorials i do have a couple questions...my daughter has been getting texturizers for two years now since she was 6 she will soon be 8, i would like for her to go natural, how do i do that w/o damaging her hair?...question 2 i got my hair cut about 2yrs ago and now would like to grow it out, I love to get sew ins and am thinking about this to let my hair grow out that way i could flat iron, curl it etc and not damage it is this okay??I get hair braided then sewn in
Any suggestions as to tutorials for that??? I am badly in need of a hair maintainance regiment that will allow us to find that harmony!!! I'm trying 2 teach babies about confidence, self-esteem, & pride 2 carry them through the rest of their lives (MOST IMPORTANT STUFF)!!!!! Its frustrating us all & not enabling us to be our best selves...I feel so ill-equiped 2 teach them how 2 take care of each other, & I never saw myself as hair maintainance challeged b4; epecially being an eldest sibling
Their hair used to be so pretty, silky, and curly. I don't even know when I allowed 2 take a wrong turn nor what I stopped doing 2 allow it to get this way:( Getting hair done should be a time when we r happy 2 bond, instead its time that is avoided by any means necessary by the kids. I wish I had the financial resources 2 pay someone! Now its summertime, & since they're out of school, we're at the pool just about every other dy. I really don't know what 2 do during this season w/ chorline ea dy
Ms Lorraine, Thanks you for sharing your time & hair care finds with others, bless you for that!! I think we can all agree that the maintainance of african american hair especially, young children is both a challenge & (when mastered:) a talent!!! I was wondering where I can watch tutorials that would show the use of products such as those you mention. I need 2 get hair done like yesterday, & have the kids hair & scalp on the road 2 recovery & good health. My runners:) R 8 & 6 yrs old.
hey ive just brought myself the moisture lotion and so far so good her hair does feel much softer. i was wonderinf if you could do a tut on how you use the thing you use. cause it very frustrating she at the age that she doesnt want her hair to be tuched
my little sisters are mixed and they have very curly thick hair and we use moisturizer and detangler as soon as they get out of the bath and then we pop in a movie like tinkerbell or something they want to watch and will sit still for and then you just mess with it as much as they will allow you too.
Have you ever heard of Jane Carter Solutin? I use the shampoo, conditioner, leave in condtioner, and hair Nourish & Shine. The first time I used it, here curls were really tight. I didn't know how to react. I used it again, the lasting results were better. So far I am happy with this organic product. Its a bit pricey, but I will do anything for my baby girls hair. You can find it online of course and Whole Foods.
i love the first product it works well for my daughter. my daughter have thick black wavy hair and it seems like that is the only thing that works for her. anything else is too heavy or too light. the organic product gives my daughter hair moisture and detangles as well... thanks for this post.
This was fantastic especially the Shea butter detangler which i had already started using but everything else was soo helpful and my daughter has stopped running away from me when ever I mention it's time to do her hair. Thank you!
hi Lorraine, I love your videos. They are very very helpful and you look so good. You seem a very warm person. Anyway, have you heard about the keratin Brazilian straightning? Or the Japanese straightning? Just would like your opinion about these subjects? Could you do a video on them, please? thanks again
I tried the kids organics shea moisture on my baby girl´s hair and it was amazing. It really works. So thanks Lorraine for the tips. I´m a subscriber now =) Greetings from Sweden.
I have a question about my child's hair. Her hair is thick and curly its what I think is "good hair" a totally different texture than mine because mine is nappy but I was wondering how do I keep it the way it is without breaking it off. I've been putting braids in her hair but I've notice it's starting to get a little rough in the middle and the edges are loosing a little curl how should I take better care of her hair?
There is no such thing as good hair. Good hair is hair that is healthy, bad hair is hair that is unhealthy. What you are trying to say is that your son has a different hair type then you do. By the way, your son doesn't have good hair, please stop this mentality.

i have a little sister that is 18 months old
i have that shea butter stuff that i used to use on my own hair, but i stopped a while ago because im 13 now.
so i was just wondering if it was still safe to use it on her hair, even though it is "old".
