  • how do you plug your amp into your computer?

  • @vSupaSonic2051 didnt know guitars have balls

  • @finestspark77 squiers are better than u think

  • It was ok, but work on ur bends. You over- and under-extended some of them. But besides that, pretty good

  • im sorry but this stinks

  • Pretty darn good! I need to learn that one, one of my favs.

  • you did this squire mucho justice here man, mad props. any guitar player cna make ANY guitar sound good if he knows what hes doing, perfect example in this case,

  • incredible, you make that guitar sound really good, almost as good as savid gilmour himself

  • @finestspark77 He must have some strong fingers! It sounded awesome haha

  • Can you share your GT-8 settings?

  • im not mad at all for listening to this very nice sound props to you for making that guitar sound that good

    W ♫♪ Music!

  • good job not the best but pretty damn good especially on a squire and ur pretty good with the critics ur a good sport

  • hey wats the setup?

  • Guitar: Squier Stratocaster

Effects and amp simulation: Boss GT-8

The guitar goes to the GT-8, the GT-8 goes straight into my PC's line in.

  • sweet man

  • Great playing!

What gauge strings are you using?

By the way, any guitar is as good as the player. Even squiers can sound terrific if set up and played "properly". I agree they're not Fender "Custom shop" material, but who can afford one anyway!?!

In short- decent guitar, good amp(solid state or tube) and good playing and feeling make for a winning combination.

  • Thanks for the comment. You're right about the gear. I know a bassist that owned a jazz bass, and after 30 years of playing, he still uses his squier to gig. He simply likes it.

    About your question, I use D'Addario 009's.

  • California. Do you have any info about it? I searched a lot in the internet but couldn't find almost anything about it.

    Thanks for the comment.

  • sweet tone! Keep it up and good luck!

  • very good job!

    I love this Gilmour's solo

  • Very good i like it.

  • thank for the tips man. i think il keep my money for a highway one. played it and it sounds awesome.(he didn't let me plug the squier though..)

if it's not much trouble can you upload a vid of you playing sweet home alabama without any effects? (just clean)

  • good job dude!

  • hey man! i like your vids!

    i have 1 question:

is the squier really worth it or should i keep my money for something better?

i wnated to buy one, but when i got to the store the dealer didn't even let me touch it...

he said it's a toy and i shouldn't get near it.

  • Well it quite depends on your economic situation.

When I bought my squier, I was going through hard times and wasn't able to get something better.

It's for sure not a toy guitar and it serves me well even after 2 years. But it also isn't a good guitar.

So if you can indeed wait a bit more and get something better, do it. I'd recommend some of the cheaper Cort's or Washburn's. Epiphones also are good. I'd recommend you to go with a friend that understands about guitars, so he tries them first.

  • you can buy Indonesian Fenders they have almost same price as Squier but they better tone.

  • @tomwi65 Ibanez's give you the most bang for your buck. The $200 ibanez's kill the squires.

  • Nice job!

  • Thanks

  • ridiculous

  • it helped a lot, thank you dude!

  • Happy to help :)

  • bravo! man, you rock! btw, you said you use a gt-8, but i'm brazilian and in here it's very expensive, can i use a zoom g1 or a boss distortion to make a sound like yours?

  • Mmmh I don't know...

You would need a chorus effect, and some overdrive. Don't know which one. But a chorus and delay are the main factors of the David Gilmour's tone. A good amp too since the G1 doesn't appear to have amps simulation.

    Hope that it helps.

  • Nice pitch and bends...but its not really corret...

  • Thanks. What should I fix?

  • nice sound, well played.

check my version if you can.

  • Done, and commented.

  • HOLY SHIT! 5*s

  • Thanks for the high rating man!

  • did you use only a GT-8 to get that tone? If yes, can you please tell me the settings you have? That is a very good tone.

  • Sure. I made it myself. I'll send you the patch later (I have to pass it to my PC).

  • dude.. u the man!!!

i'ts me.. tal from the taekwondo.....

    remember me..?

  • Of course man! I'm going to try to get more in ICQ.
