  • Love this!!. I saw Curzon when I was about 15 doing the Mozart concerto no. 24 and will never forget it. I went backstage in Carnegie Hall and waited on a very long line to meet him. He was very gracious and happy to greet everyone!

  • Superb!,,,he was a very nice human being too,

  • I love how he mouths everything ^^makes him totally loveable

  • Perfectly styled...love it...

  • beautifully played...saw him once playing the Coronation Concerto...

  • ..yes,curzon was also a great mozart interpreter,i heard him live playing mozart concerto in a major kv. 488.i remember it was very exciting and a great event.the conductor was günter wand.

  • @berlinzerberus ...good to know...an anecdote...I asked an older friend if she knew of Sir Clifford...she said he was one of the examiners just after the war when she did her grade 5 piano...in those days...examiners would come across to Canada from England...well I never...

  • Awesome Awesome

  • Magnifique de sophistication... naturelle !

  • I have other recordings of schubert that just haunt me. He is one of the great ones. So clean, so chaste,

  • Thanks so much for posting this! His rhythmic flexibility is just wonderful.

  • A treasure..

  • he's face when he plays this - its just how I feel when i play, wish I could get it right lol

  • Playing style reminds me of Solomon (or vice versa). Thanks

  • Holy crap thanks a zillion for this.

  • This is finely crafted playing and surprisingly passionate in the impromptu from one who looks so like an English bank manager! It's good to see and hear Curzon playing at his best.
