  • we have the same grapes in Greece

  • 大根,add more information about this fruit.

why japanese people call this fruit like this?

yes, that is because the word from kanji means

    Big Root

    大~~Big 根~~Root

maybe this will help us to understand why the

fruit be called in this way^^

  • Well it is a root vegetable. It is rather like raddish. I call it giant raddish when I attempt to explain it. It does not have much taste. It is cruchy when raw, about the consistancy of raddish, and soft when cooked.

  • hehe,thank you for your explainment,tim,

thank you hehe,it is very nice for you to

reply me hehe,i am so happy!

  • I meant Japan.

  • Do they have a walmart in japan?

  • No, not as far as I know. There is Cosco though.

  • Very interesting. And informative. Even how to make disparaging comments about women's legs in Japan. "Legs like tree-trunks" is the best I can think of in english.

I go to the open air market in Nailsea every week and for about £10 ($20) I buy four large bags of fruit and vegetables. really good value, but one has to put up with an occasional bruised fruit. They dont let you pick out your own as in supermarkets ..but it is near half the price. I wont go into the biological benefits either.

  • I think that one would only get one large bag of veg for $20 here.

  • thats really interesting !

    thank u

  • My pleasure Lacus.

  • u can call me jenny lol !!

  • Thank you Jenny.
