Aronofsky is the most overrated director these days. Everything he makes is meant for effect. He knows how to make fashionable films and is a good businessman. But I don't like him. Actually this movie wasn't bad, but all credit to Rourke. He showed again that he's the most talented actor of his generation.

I love this movie and I'm NOT afraid to say that I am a HUGE fan of pro-wrestling. It's ENTERTAINMENT, so Huck the Faters!! Pro-wrestling has been around for a very long time and has billions of fans worldwide, NO modern TV show can say that.

This is probably one of the best films I've ever seen. This makes up for Requiem for a Dream which I found to be overrated, and don't get me started on that film-school wankfest "Pi".

Mickey Rourke really sold this movie, as well as Darren Aronofsky's simplistic, but highly effective handheld digital cinematography. I used to mock wrestling like everyone else, but I came away from this movie with a new respect for wrestling. Sure it's all about the show, but they know how to pull it off.

I love this film very much. I didn't know that they deal about every fight move before the presentation. Haha Anyway Mickey Rourke showed brilliant acting and deserved the Oscar. Sean Penn was much worse in 'Milk' but I guess academics are obsessed with "gay rights" too much. Marisa Tomei was stunning too

This film is brilliant. I highly reccommend it to anyone, not just wrestling fans. Its a film about a wrestler, not a wrestling film. Yes there is a difference :D Its tipped off by Rourke's performance. He captures the emotion and everything else so well.

As long as Darren Aronofsky is behind the camera the film is going to be emotional, artistic, fantastic and inspirational. I don't know many film-makers today capable of such artistic highs and honest emotional realism. This is movie making at it's purest.

Man, this was SUCH a great friggin movie. Got a chance to see a private screening of it, with Darren Aronofsky Q&A-ing with us afterwards. Rourke is phenomenal, but so are Marisa Tomei and Evan Rachel Wood. You GOTTA see this once it comes out, and support everyone's outstanding work. GREAT stuff!
