when i first drop my clip into my sequence my rt options are not there anymore why does my rt not look like yours after I drop in the clip? I looks like it when no clips are in the sequence but as soon as i drop something in all it says is play base layer, use playback settings and full quality . Hey man! this video was the answer to my problems with FCP7. I have a question: I took a look at the browser and I notice that many of the clips said CAM_SD and AVCHD3. The problem is that my cameras do not have the capabilities for SD (Panasonic AG-HMC40). Any ideas?

@TheJohnPhenomenon As the poster said, it means the sequence settings do not match the video. Click cmd+9 to see the video properties. Then click cmd+0 to see the sequence settings. Change the sequence settings to match the video.

When I click on the RT (beside of the timecode) there are only three choices; Play Base Layer Only, Use Playback Settings or Full Quality. And no matter what I choose it doesn't work...does someone knows what's the problem because I've seen the "normal RT menu" before?

It could be many things. Usually, FCP's estimator is not that accurate, so it may actually take shorter then it says. Also, check your sequence settings to make sure they match your clip settings (CMD+0). That may be the cause of it. Good luck!

Thanks for the video dude! We just got FCS 2 in this week and we've been preping the new Mac to get it ready for eventual full time production. We're switching from Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 on WinXP. I was yelling at the computer with that unrendered stuff. Premiere worked like Unlimited RT mode does all the time. I wish I knew this today. Oh well, it's part of the process of learning.
