this song is quite amusing. sad, but amusing also. and it represents the fight between millia rage and zato one perfectly. zato, eddie, it's more or less the same. she feels sory 'bout zato, not 'bout that failure, anyway... and parts of it were added to the extra video, wich shows us that the one that made the game song also liked this melody quite a lot;)

This song fits the battle between Millia and Eddie pretty well. Before 0:58 its a sudden encounter between the two. Then after 0:58 Millia feels painful and hesitated to do the full strike. 1:29 its like a recall of the past days in the assassin guide. Sounds like walking insunset. Then 2:00, it seems Millia realized she must do the killing below to end Eddie's torment and she found courage again. Like Enigma songs: I love you, I will kill you, but I love you forever...

I really love the acoustic in the middle, it balances out the awesome intro though it completely breaks the tempo. But this would be great in a fight scene, the track can go into the acoustic part just after a major clash, and then you see two combatants slowly rise up to continue the fight despite being battered. That's how I feel the music was meant to convey.

@DarkonFullPower This happens to be the only 2D 1-on-1 fighter that I really like, 'cause I can actually pull off the moves more, including the Instant Kills. However, I do not hate ALL 2D fighters, I LOVE Super Smash Bros, and, well, I don't know if Onimusha: Blade Warriors should be considered 2D or 3D, 'cause it's almost 2D fighting style, but it's on different planes, like you can go into the background and stuff, and you can shoot people who are in a different plane.

I'm much better at video game KNOWLEDGE than SKILL!

Besides, I don't even have an XBox Live, and I don't really want one, 'cause some people on there take crap way too seriously, and I don't like to play games with people like that. Besides, I don't even play fighters that much. Only hack'n'slashers like Dynasty Warriors 2 and beyond. Only time I ever play fighters is when I really feel like it, and that's pretty rare.

The melody that spreads throughout the whole song, starting directly at the beginning of the song... it represents the feeling of eroding passion, the pain of parting up, the knowing that nothing remains the same between those two people. 0:58 goes into sadness, but tears right through that feeling only to sound more painful...

Then at 2:00, it becomes powerful again, showing how one is ready to fight again, no matter how much pain lies ahead. Because through all the painful things, you know you have to keep looking forward and be ready to give up sometimes, only to emerge stronger than before, like a phoenix.
